Ryan Johnson raised to 600 from middle position. Odysseas Athanasiadis and Daniel Moran called from the button and big blind.

Johnson continued for 800 on the 952 flop, and was called by both opponents. He fired out another 3,000 on the 9 turn. Athanasiadis called before Moran got out of the way.

The 4 completed the board, and Johnson check-folded to a bet of 5,500, awarding Athanasiadis the pot.

After an open to 600 by Michael Dick in middle position, Hasan Halil in the cutoff three-bet to 2,000. Ivan Burmistrov on the button didn't see this raise but called it, as well as Dick.

Halil made a continuation bet on 974 but Burmistrov quickly raised to 8,000. Dick check-folded and Halil called.

Halil checked the 2 turn and Burmistrov bet 20,000. Halil looked at him and raised all-in for 44,500. Burmistrov snap-called.

Iliev Can't Find a Fold; Ciurea Hits River to Double

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

A sizeable pot between Iliya Iliev and Fahredin Mustafov had brewed, with 20,000 in the pot on the 54968 completed board.

Iliev checked in the big blind, and Mustafov fired out 20,500 from the button. Iliev went into the tank, using several time banks before putting in calling chips. Mutsafov tabled A3 for the nut-flush, and cracked Iliev's AA.

As that hand completed, there was an all-in and call on a neighboring table.

On the 72J10 board, Nazih Al Tajar and Christian Ciurea exchanged raised from under the gun and middle position, that saw Ciurea all-in for hi slast 23,100.

Al Tajar was ahead with top pair, but Ciurea still had some hope with his second pair and flush draw. The A came in to give the shorter stack the checkmark to double-up.

Hanel Takes a Massive Pot

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Jaromir Hanel opened to 500 from the hijack and was called by Tyson Strauss in the cutoff and Yuliyan Kolev on the button. Maksym Filipovskyi in the big blind squeezed to 2,700, but Hanel four-bet to 7,700. Both Strauss and Kolev folded but Filipovskyi called.

The dealer fanned a flop of QJ5 and Hanel continued for 2,000. Filipovskyi check-called.

Hanel fired a second barrel to 5,500 on the 8 turn, but after using a time bank extension, Filipovskyi check-raised to 25,000. It didn't take long for Hanel to call.

The 10 river completed the board and Filipovskyi bet 22,000, with only 2,500 behind. Hanel called with AQ for top pair and caught Filipovskyi with 77.

Muschetto Cracks Kings to Score First Elimination of WSOPE Main Event

Weijiang Hu was the first player to be eliminated in the WSOP Europe Main Event, with a set of threes cracking his pocket kings. Evan Muschetto was the player to scoop in the pot, and he recapped the hand to PokerNews.

Loic Morand raised to 500 from under the gun and was called by Aram Simonian from middle position. Hu three-bet to 1,500 from the hijack, and was called by Alexandro Tricarico and Muschetto from the blinds. Morand and Simonian also stuck around.

On a rainbow 9x5x3x flop, Hu continued for 3,000. Tricarico called before Muschetto made it 13,000. Morand and Simonian got out of the way. Hu called before Tricario also folded.

On the Jx turn, Muschetto bet 20,500 and Hu jammed in the remainder of his 60,000 starting stack. Muschetto slightly covered, and called.

Muschetoo had bottom set, and was ahead of the pocket kings. A 7x completed the board and Hu was the first player to depart. He was soon followed out of the door by Andrius Tapinas, who was also sent packing on another table.
