Van Blarcum Really Didn't Want the Call..

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Aaron Van Blarcum
Aaron Van Blarcum

Aaron Van Blarcum open-jammed for 240,000 from under the gun and action quickly folded around to Santiago Soriano in the big blind.

"You have enough chips to call", Van Blarcum said to Soriano. "You want me to call?" he replied. "Of course I want a call, if I put my chips in the middle I always want a call", said Van Blarcum, and Soriano tossed in the chips for the call.

Santiago Soriano: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Aaron Van Blarcum: {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Van Blarcum got his wish and had Soriano dominated until the {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs} board ran out. Van Blarcum connected on the flop but Soriano hit his gutshot on the river sending Van Blarcum home in 71st place for $41,997.

Lady Luck Makes an Appearance in Big Three-way All-In Pot

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Jordan Spurlin
Jordan Spurlin

A preflop raising war resulted in a big three-way all-in pot between Scott Mayfield, Jordan Spurlin, and Nadya Magnus.

Scott Mayfield: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}
Nadya Magnus: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Jordan Spurlin: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Magnus had the best ace and the biggest stack, but lady luck smiled upon Spurlin as the {2-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Spades} flop delivered him the lead with a pair of queens. Meanwhile, Mayfield flopped the nut flush draw.

The {7-Hearts} turn was of no consequence and neither was the {5-Hearts} river. Spurlin's hand held to scoop the pot, Magnus was left with crumbs, and Mayfield hit the rail in 73rd place for $38,179.

Shing Beats Ace-King with Ace-King

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

There was a preflop all in in progress and a chop looked to be destined as Phillip Shing held the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} while Dominique Mosley had the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. Mosley had the slight chance to win the pot outright and eliminate Shing with his suited cards,

The flop made a chop look certain as it came {10-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. But the turn raised some eyebrows as the {7-Clubs} came off to put 4 clubs on board.

The river was the {j-Clubs} to bring home the backdoor club flush for Shing to give him a big double and to knock the once large stack of Mosley down.

Villarreal Busts Upon Returning from Dinner Break

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Anselmo Villarreal
Anselmo Villarreal

We missed the elimination of Anselmo Villarreal but he was kind enough to fill us in on some details after the fact.

According to him, upon returning from the dinner break he was first to act and looked down at the {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Villarreal, who recently relocated from Wisconsin to Austin, Texas, wound up getting called by an opponent holding pocket eights and failed to get luck.

Villarreal finished in 74th place for $38,179.

Perry Dents Foxen With Aces

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Ralph Perry
Ralph Perry

Ralph Perry put in a three-bet preflop only to have Alex Foxen jammed all in over the top. Perry snap-called off his remaining stack.

It was a cooler for Foxen as he held the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} versus the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} of Perry.

The board gave no hope to Foxen as it ran out {4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and he was forced to surrender a large portion of his stack across the table.

Dinner Break

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Bicknell Gaining Traction After Back-to-Back Doubles Just Before Dinner Break

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Kristen Bicknell
Kristen Bicknell

Double Up #1 Kristen Bicknell open-jammed under the gun for 125,000 and Santiago Plante isolated from the cutoff.

Kristen Bicknell: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Santiago Plante: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Bicknell needed help and found it on the {10-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop but it also gave Plante a broadway draw. Luckily for Bicknell, the board completed with the {7-Spades} turn and the {4-Hearts} river securing her the pot.

Double Up #2 Action quickly folded around to Frank Funaro who raised to 25,000 on the button and then snap-called Bicknell's 226,000 three-bet jam from the big blind.

Frank Funaro: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Kristen Bicknell: {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}

Bicknell was behind once again needing help but didn't find it on the {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{k-Spades} flop. Luckily for her, a prayer was answered as the {a-Spades} peeled off on the turn and the {8-Clubs} river secured her double up.
