Furth Makes Correct River Call For Tournament Life

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Bruno Furth
Bruno Furth

A big pot was in progress on the turn as the board read {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. From the big blind, Valentyn Shabelnyk made a hefty bet of 375,000 into an already large pot. Bruno Furth, who was in early position, called after several moments of thought.

The river came the {3-Hearts}. First to act, Shabelnyk waited a long time, exploring the options in his mind before finally announcing all in which was for all of Furth's chips. Furth checked the tournament clocked, and called in a fairly swift manner.

Shabelnyk tabled the {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a missed straight and Furth showed the winner, the {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. The massive pot was pushed toward Furth to create a big shift in the table dynamics.

Moreno vs Marchese

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Action was on the flop that read {9-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. From the hijack Tom Marchese bet 50,000. Andrew Moreno was in the small blind and check-raised to 190,000. Marchese made the call.

They went to the river and saw the {10-Spades} come down. Moreno led out with a shove which was enough to put Marchese all in. Marchese thought for a few moments but folded fairly quickly to send the pot Moreno's way and leave Marchese on the short end of the chip counts.

Furth Sends Sepiol to the Rail

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Daniel Sepiol
Daniel Sepiol

After Joe Kuether raised to 55,000 from the cutoff, MSPT Riverside champ Dan Sepiol three-bet jammed for roughly 550,000 from the button. Bruno Furth four-bet all in over the top from the small blind and Kuether got out of the way.

Bruno Furth: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Dan Sepiol: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}

Sepiol had a kicker problem and it didn't get resolved as the board ran out {6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Sepiol exited in 45th place for $51,650, while the remaining field hit a pay jump up to $57,952.

Kim Takes Out Mosley

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Dominique Mosley
Dominique Mosley

Dominque Mosley shoved for about 380,000 preflop over Hyon Kim's raise who thought for a while before eventually electing to call.

Mosley had the {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} and was in a flip vs the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} of Kim. Things looked ok for Mosley after the flop as it came {k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} but the turn was the {q-Spades} to send Kim into the lead.

The river sealed the deal for Mosley as the {6-Diamonds} came off to end his run.

Soriano Makes Jaffee Squirm

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

On the river there was a large pot of around 400,000 in the middle with the board reading {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{k-Spades}.

Jared Jaffee was deep in the tank, unsure of what to do as he was facing a decision for his tournament life as Santiago Soriano put him to to the test with a shove. He stewed it over for several moments, seemingly on the fence. Eventually he would fold to preserve his stack and Soriano added more to his chip lead at that table.
