Woo Wins Flip to Collect $1,000

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Jung Woo raised to 24,000 from early position and Chang Liang Deng three-bet jammed for 63,000 next to act. Action folded back to Woo, who didn't have him covered by much. Even so, he called and the hands were turned up.

Chang Liang Deng: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Jung Woo: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

It was a flip and Deng was looking to hold to stay alive. Unfortunately for him, that proved easier said than done as the board ran out {5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} to give Woo a winning pair of jacks.

Woo redeemed his bounty immediately and drew an envelope containing $1,000.

Lijo Takes Out Hendrix

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Lander Lijo opened to 16,000 under-the-gun and action folded around to Adam Hendrix in the big blind, who shoved for his last 117,000. Lijo tanked, but eventually decided to call.

Lander Lijo: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Adam Hendrix: {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Hendrix was well ahead and would remain so on the {3-Clubs}{q-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, but the {j-Spades} turn vaulted Lijo into the lead.

The {9-Hearts} bricked out for Hendrix and he was eliminated.

Tran Runs Smack Dab Into Aces; Mzareulov Collects $25,000!

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Luther Tran got his stack of approximately 100,000 all in preflop and found himself in dire straits against David Mzareulov.

Luther Tran: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
David Mzareulov: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

Tran was in a bad spot but the {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop wasn't too bad as it delivered him an open-ended straight draw. Unfortunately for him, neither the {2-Diamonds} turn nor {j-Diamonds} river helped him and he was sent packing early on Day 2.

Mzareulov immediately went to the drum to redeem his bounty and promptly drew the first big bounty amount of the day — $25,000!

Logan Hewett raised to 14,000 from early position only to have Jeremy Joseph three-bet jam from the big blind. Hewett thought for a few moments and then called off for 184,000 total.

Jeremy Joseph: {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Logan Hewett: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Hewett had the best hand and it held as the board ran out a clean {8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}.
