Miles Doubles, Then Scores Knockout

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Tony Miles
Tony Miles

The action was found on the river {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{q-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades} with about 15,000 in the middle.

Victoria Livschitz had shoved all-in and Tony Miles was in the tank. After a minute, Miles made the call for his tournament life.

Livschitz turned over {a-Spades}{4-Clubs} for a pair of aces, but Miles had it beat with {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for the broadway straight.

On the next hand, Miles and Livschitz got all the chips in the middle again, but with Livschitz at risk.

Victoria Livschitz: {a-}{10-}
Tony Miles: {k-}{k-}

The dealer was just completing the runout, with no help to Livschitz, as she exited the tournament area.

Kramer Scores an Early Knockout

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

A big pot has already been played on table 54 in the opening minutes of Day 1b.

Hands had already been tabled and all the chips of Bruce Kramer and Michael Leanos had found their way into the middle.

With the board reading {8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades} Leanos was showing {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a pair of jacks but Kramer had {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for two pair.

After the stacks were counted, Kramer had Leanos covered.
