Marquez Out Kicked by Mateos

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Anthony Marquez
Anthony Marquez

Anthony Marquez open-jammed for 46,000 from middle position and Adrian Mateos called from the cutoff.

Anthony Marquez: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Adrian Mateos: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Marquez was behind needing help but things turned ugly after a jack appeared in the window on the {10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop.

The {2-Diamonds} turn did keep Marquez alive with a Wheel draw but the {a-Spades} completed the board on the river and ended his night.

Alex Foxen

Alex Foxen opened to 9,000 from early position and the player in the big blind three-bet to 26,000.

Foxen made the call and they saw the flop {10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. The player in the small blind continued for 22,000 and Foxen called.

On the turn {a-Spades}, Foxen called again, this time 20,000 from his opponent.

The river was the {q-Clubs} and the player in the small blind shoved for about 78,000 and Foxen snap-called.

Foxen tabled {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} for a set of aces and his opponent could only muck his {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} as he exited the tournament area.

Shing Eliminated by Liu

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Philip Shing
Philip Shing

There was three-way action after a {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop between Philip Shing from under the gun, Qing Liu from the button and the big blind player.

The big blind led out for 17,000 into and 40,000 pot and Shing raised all in for 47,000. Action was on Liu who three-bet over the top sending the player in the big blind deep into the tank.

After roughly six-minutes, a clock was called and the big blind quickly folded after the countdown began.

Philip Shing: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Qing Liu: {k-Spades}{5-Spades}

"No matter what happens good luck," Shing said to Liu just as the dealer dropped the {k-Clubs} on the turn.

Shing fell behind needing a jack but the {4-Hearts} completed the board on the river and ended his tournament.

Mateos Takes a Small Hit, Salas Wins One

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Damian Salas
Damian Salas

On the flop {5-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades} and 21,000 in the pot, Adrian Mateos bet 5,000 and was met with a raise to 12,000 from the small blind.

Mateos called and they saw the turn {7-Clubs}. The action went check-check to the river {8-Diamonds} and Mateos folded to a bet of 19,000.

On a neighboring table, Damian Salas opened the hijack to 6,000 and the cutoff called, as did in the big blind.

Salas check-called a bet of 11,000 from the cutoff on the {5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop and the big blind got out of the way.

Both players checked the {k-Clubs} turn and {8-Spades} river and Salas showed {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for the wheel.
