The $10,000 buy-in, $10 million GTD Wynn Millions Main Event began with 1,075 runners, but headed into Day 3 just 154 remain in contention for the $1,655,952 first-place prize. All of those players will aim to finish in the top 116 to secure a min-cash of $22,029, and the money bubble will burst on Tuesday.

On Monday, 172 players returned for Day 2c action, but after three 90-minute levels of play just 87 remained with Jake Daniels , who began the day with 160,000, and his stack of 837,000 leading the way. That is a little behind that of Day 2ab chip leader Chad Eveslage, who bagged 939,000.

Others to make it through Day 2c were David Lambard (675,000), Kristen Nyman (525,000), Ben Hamnett (435,000), Alex Livingston (428,000), Athanasios Polychronopoulos (400,000), Jason Wheeler (330,000), Brock Wilson (296,000), Javier Zarco (250,000), Sean Perry (219,000), Shaun Deeb (186,000), Matt Berkey (70,000), Nick Schulman (106,000), and defending champ Andrew Moreno (185,000).

Of course, not everyone was so lucky. Among those to hit the rail on Monday were Chance Kornuth, Ryan Laplante, Tony Dunst, Larry Ormson, Xuan Liu, Noah Schwartz, and 2017 WSOP Main Event champ Scott Blumstein.

The surviving players from both Day 2ab and 2c will return at noon local time on Tuesday, March 8 to battle it out on the felt in Day 3. Stay tuned as the PokerNews live reporting team will be back to bring you call the action from the 2022 Wynn Millions!

Perry Cracks Aces to Triple Up

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Sean Perry
Sean Perry

Sean Perry was involved in a three-way all-in as the shortest stack against Daniel Moran and another player.

Sean Perry: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Daniel Moran: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The flop of {8-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} was an action one as it gave Perry a flush draw, and the board finished out {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades} to win him the main pot for a triple-up.

"Let's fu**ing go!" shouted Perry as the river card peeled off to send him the big pot.

"Sean, let's go to the craps table," said Jake Daniels after seeing his table mate's luck. "I don't know why you don't live at the craps table at this point."

Deeb Pulls Off Trademark Slowroll with Aces

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Shaun Deeb raised in late position to 8,000 with just 65,000 total in his stack. The big blind, Javier Zarco, then moved all in, and after about 10 seconds of pondering his decision, Deeb decided to call off, a decision he had already made.

"I've got a pretty big hand," Deeb said while slowly turning his hand over.

Shaun Deeb: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Javier Zarco: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

In fairness to Deeb, he acted much quicker than he often does when facing an all-in bet with the nuts. As for the board, it ran out {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and the King of Slowrolls took down the pot.

"It's too bad justice wasn't served," Zarco uttered. Deeb's still sitting on a below average stack but he's now back in business.

Kim Wins Flip to Take Out Kornuth

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Chance Kornuth was down to around 60,000 and got all of his chips in the middle in a pot against Brian Kim, who had him covered.

Chance Kornuth: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Brian Kim: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The flop came {6-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds} to keep Kornuth in the lead with his nines and the {5-Hearts} on the turn didn't change things. However, the {q-Diamonds} on the river gave Kim a better pair and Kornuth was eliminated.

Daniels Cracks Aces to Eliminate Laplante, Take Chip Lead

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Jake Daniels
Jake Daniels

Jake Daniels opened to 8,000 in early position and Ryan Laplante flat-called in middle position, while the player in the small blind also came along.

The small blind checked on the flop of {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Daniels continued with a bet of 9,000. Laplante raised to 32,000 and the small blind quickly folded. Daniels re-raised all-in and Laplante snap-called with a smaller stack.

Jake Daniels: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Ryan Laplante: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}

Laplante's aces had been out-flopped by the set of tens of Daniels and he let out a sigh of frustration as the board ran out {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} to send him to the rail.

Daniels has had a hot Day 2c and is now up to nearly 700,000 to give him the biggest stack in the room.

"The rich get richer," someone at the table commented as Daniels raked in the pot.

Daniels Takes a Big Chunk of Berkey's Stack

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Matt Berkey
Matt Berkey

Action was caught on the river with the board showing {10-Spades}{k-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and the pot already bloated. Jake Daniels made a sizable wager of 143,000 with Matt Berkey the only other player in the pot.

Berkey tanked for a minute before opting to call, and he found out some bad news. Daniels showed {7-Spades}{6-Spades} for a flopped flush, and then the Solve for Why founder mucked his cards.

Cimbolas Wounds Schulman

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman

Nick Schulman was on the button in a heads-up pot against Matas Cimbolas in early position on a board of {8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} with around 100,000 already in the middle.

Cimbolas checked on the turn and Schulman took a minute before putting out a big bet of 70,000. Cimbolas called.

Cimbolas checked again on the {3-Clubs} river and Schulman checked back, only to quickly muck when Cimbolas turned over {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for an overpair.

The hand left Schulman with around 100,000 after the poker commentator entered the day second in chips with a stack of 400,000.

Ali Imsirovic Bags Big in Wynn Millions, Wins High Roller in Same Day

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Ali Imsirovic
Ali Imsirovic

Ali Imsirovic is pretty much unstoppable at this point in his career, and he proved that once again Sunday when he bagged big in the Wynn Millions Main Event Day 2ab session and then won a PokerGO Tour $10,000 High Roller in the same casino before bed time.

The Bosnian poker pro is fresh off a banner year in which he took down Player of the Year awards from the Global Poker Index and PokerGO Tour.

In 2021, he won 14 high rollers, eight more than any other player. Overall, he cashed for over $6 million in live tournaments last year and now has $16.5 million lifetime, per the Hendon Mob.

Starting the Day off with a Bang

Imsirovic began his day at noon PT inside the Wynn Las Vegas with a big stack entering Day 2ab of the $10,000 buy-in Wynn Millions Main Event, a $10 million guaranteed no-limit hold'em tournament.

He'd continue stacking chips throughout the five-hour session, more than doubling his stack from 258,000 to 566,000, and was one of 67 players who bagged chips. Chad Eveslage left the Las Vegas Strip casino with the largest stack at 939,000.

Imsirovic will return for Day 3 on Tuesday in hopes of chasing his 19th win in a $10,000 or higher buy-in tournament since the start of 2021. First place in the Wynn Millions Main Event will pay over $1.6 million, which would put the 27-year-old poker star above the $18 million mark lifetime 13 years before he's even eligible for the Poker Hall of Fame.

Finishing the Day with a Title

The Day 2ab session zipped on by at a surprisingly quick pace, which meant Imisirovic could work the night shift and register for the Wynn High Roller Series Event #3: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em event. He had to late register as the tournament began at 2 p.m. But it didn't take him long to spin up a stack.

The tournament attracted 60 entrants, nine of whom were paid. The final table included two French pros — Sylvain Loosli and Johan Guilbert. They were the first two out after the money bubble burst.

Wynn High Roller Series Event #3 Final Table Results

PlacePlayerPrize
1Ali Imsirovic$180,000
2Matas Cimbolas$120,000
3Sam Soverel$84,000
4Sean Winter$60,000
5Cary Katz$48,000
6Sergio Aido$36,000
7Arden Cho$30,000
8Johan Guilbert$24,000
9Sylvain Loosli$18,000

By the time six-handed play began, Imsirovic had over half the chips in play and was dominating the final table. It would take him just one hour to finish his final five opponents off and take home $180,000. Sam Soverel was the runner-up and received $120,000 for his efforts.

Imsirovic now has four high roller titles already in 2022 and is on pace to surpass his memorable 2021 run. He'll return to the Wynn Tuesday when Day 3 begins in the Wynn Millions Main Event. The PokerNews live reporting team will keep you informed throughout the entire tournament.

Remember, there are still two PokerGO Tour High Rollers taking place here at the Wynn Millions, all of which count for the 2022 PGT Leaderboard. There will be $10,500 buy-in High Roller on March 7 and a $15,700 High Roller on March 8. Click here to see the current PokerGO Tour Leaderboard.
