Norman Wins Three-Bet Pot

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

A player in middle position opened to 1,100 and was called by the small blind. Al Norman in the big blind then three-bet to 4,000. Both the original raiser and the small blind made the call to send action three-way to the flop.

Norman continued for 6,000 after action was checked to him on the {q-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop. That was enough to force the middle position player out of the hand but the small blind came along to see the turn.

The {7-Clubs} turn saw the small blind check for a second time and then fold after Norman fired off another barrel, this time sizing up to 17,000.

Lopez Coolers Korochenskiy

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Anatoly Korochenskiy had gotten his stack of approximately 50,000 in from the cutoff and was at risk against David Lopez in middle position.

Anatoly Korochenskiy: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
David Lopez: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

The {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop left Korochenskiy's chances slim, and he was drawing dead as the {6-Clubs} fell on the turn. The meaningless {8-Clubs} completed the board and Korochenskiy made his exit from the table after a count confirmed he was barely covered, while Lopez collected the pot.

Jaffee Folds Aces Up

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

With over 20,000 in the pot on a {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} completed board, Jared Jaffee was in early position and facing a bet of approximately 15,000 from a middle position player.

"I do have aces up, so I'm not gonna raise," said Jaffee.

After some time, he folded his {a-Spades}{9-Spades} face up, and his opponent took the pot while sending his hand into the muck to leave Jaffee wondering.

Three-Way Flush Draw Makes For Big Pot

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
David Stamm
David Stamm

A player in early position opened to 800 and received calls from Hossein Ensan in late position, Raj Ramakrishnan from the cutoff and David Stamm on the button as well as both blinds.

Action checked to the early position player on a flop of {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and he continued for 2,000. Ensan folded while Ramakrishnan called. Stamm then shoved for around 13,000, which got the blinds to fold. The early position player then re-jammed with the larger stack and Ramakrishnan called off for his tournament life.

David Stamm: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Raj Ramakrishnan: {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Early Position Player: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

In a wildly improbable turn of events, all three players had flopped flush draws, with Ramakrishnan holding the best draw while Stamm had the opportunity to make a straight flush as well as being ahead with a pair of eights. The early position player, meanwhile, had an open ended straight draw, which was effectively his only hope of winning the pot.

With all three players blocking each other's draws, it was little surprise that no further clubs found their way onto the felt on the {q-Diamonds} turn or {q-Hearts} river. Remarkably, Stamm got a full triple-up with queens and eights while Ramakrishnan scooped a significant sidepot with king high, leaving the early position player short.

Trips for Dentale

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Michael Dentale
Michael Dentale

With roughly 16,000 in the pot on a {9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} completed board, a middle position player was contemplating a bet of 15,000 by Mike Dentale in the cutoff. He ultimately put in the calling chips.

Dentale tabled {k-Spades}{8-Spades} for missed flop draws which became trips, and he collected the pot as his opponent's {a-Spades}{9-Clubs} went into the muck.
