Ziff Finds a Miracle River to Crack Aces

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

There was a raise to 2,200 from under the gun and Brian Yoon three-bet to 6,600 in the hijack. Cliff Ziff flat-called on the button and the initial raised four-bet to 20,000. Yoon got out of the way but Ziff stuck around to see a flop of {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

Ziff was faced with a bet of 10,000 on the flop and he called to see the {5-Hearts} hit the turn. His opponent shoved all in for 27,700 on the turn and Ziff asked for a count before making the call.

Ziff flipped over {2-Spades}{2-Hearts} and saw some of his outs were gone when his opponent showed {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. However, the {6-Clubs} on the river gave Ziff a straight and sent his opponent to the rail.

"You felt it," Kristen Foxen said to Ziff after the hand.

Linde and Cheong Battle Mid-Conversation

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Dylan Linde and Joseph Cheong were in the middle of a deep conversation when Linde opened to 2,200 in middle position. Cheong was the only player to call from the big blind and the conversation continued through the {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop.

Cheong checked to Linde who bet 4,500 and Cheong called to see the {a-Diamonds} on the turn without missing a beat. Cheong checked again and things got a bit quieter as Linde put together a bet of 14,000. Cheong thought for a brief moment but decided to send his cards to the muck, and the chatter sparked again.

The action folded around to John Racener in the small blind who limped in for 1,000 and Jordyn Miller checked his option in the big blind.

The {9-Clubs} completed the board and Racener checked a third time to Miller who tossed out 8,000. Racener quickly folded and the pot was sent to Miller who continues to climb the leaderboard.

Kornuth Puts Moreno To The Test

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

In a heads-up pot with roughly 15,000 in the middle on a flop showing {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Chance Kornuth bet out 11,000 from the small blind and Andrew Moreno made the call from middle position.

The {4-Diamonds} hit the turn and Kornuth sized to 25,000, which again Moreno tossed in chips for the call. The {6-Diamonds} completed the board and Kornuth took a moment before announcing all in, covering the 55,000 remaining for Moreno, who went deep in the tank.

After close to two minutes of thought, Moreno reluctantly let his cards go and the pot was sent to Kornuth without showdown.

Ace-King No Good

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Ren Lin was heads-up in a four-bet pot and around 50,000 in the middle preflop. The flop came {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and the small blind led out with a bet of 20,000.

"No gamble, no future," Lin blurted out his classic line as he called. "Ace-king no good."

The turn brought the {9-Spades} and the small blind ripped all in. Lin instantly flicked in a chip to call off his stack of 32,500 chips. Lin flipped over {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and his opponent showed {a-Spades}{k-Spades}.

The {4-Clubs} bricked out on the river and Lin earned himself a double-up. "See. Ace-king no good."
