Foxen Gives It Up On River

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The action was picked up in a pot of roughly 4,000 on a flop showing {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. The small blind checked to Foxen who tossed out a bet of 900. After a few seconds, the small blind called and the {7-Diamonds} hit the turn.

The small blind checked again and Foxen sized up to 6,300, which again was called. On the {8-Clubs} river the small blind checked a third time and Foxen took some time before eventually checking back to a showdown.

The small blind rolled over {a-Spades}{3-Spades} for flopped two-pair and Foxen slid his cards to the dealer.

Calderaro Doubles Back to Starting Stack

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

James Calderaro raised it up in the hijack and Matt Stout three-bet to 6,700 out of the small blind. Calderaro called and the dealer fanned the flop of {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

Stout led out with a bet of 2,500 and Calderaro called to see the {2-Clubs} on the turn. Stout flicked in a bet of 10,000 and Calderaro called off his stack of exactly 10,000.

James Calderaro: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Matt Stout: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The {9-Hearts} on the river bricked out and Calderaro's pair of fours held on for a double up. Calderaro turned his hands face up as if to say, "that's all?"

"You want more or what?" Stout responded. "Have more chips next time."

Park Gets to Stay in His Seat

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Hye Park
Hye Park

On the last hand of the previous level, Hye Park raised to 1,200 in the hijack and Anthony Zinno three-bet to 3,000 in the cutoff. Park stuck in a four-bet to 7,000 and Zinno five-bet shoved all in. Park called off his stack of 21,000 and the cards were on their backs.

Hye Park: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Anthony Zinno: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The flop of {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} left Park in a great position to double-up. However, the {j-Hearts} on the turn had him getting up from his seat. But the {q-Spades} on the river gave Park a better set and he scored a double through Zinno.

Nguyen Gets Value On River

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

In a heads-up pot with 7,000 in the middle on a flop of {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, Alex Nguyen checked from under the gun to Vincent Wong in the cutoff who bet out 2,500. Nguyen made the call and the {2-Spades} hit the turn. Both players checked their options to the {9-Spades} river.

Nguyen elected to take the lead with a bet of 8,000 and after little thought, Wong tossed in a chip for the call. Nguyen rolled over {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} for top-pair and Wong checked his hand before sending it in to the muck.

Tice Runs Out of Chips

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Landon Tice was down to less than 10,000 chips and it didn't take long for him to get the last of them in the middle. He was called by Johnny Chen who had more chips and the best hand.

Landon Tice: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Johnny Chen: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The flop fell {k-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Chen flopped a full house to leave Tice nearly drawing dead. The {10-Spades} on the turn sealed the deal and Tice was bounced from his seat.

Foutty Hangs On Against Dunst

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The action folded around to Tony Dunst on the button who opened for 1,800 and only Stephen Foutty made the call in the big blind.

The flop fanned out {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Foutty check-called a bet of 3,000 from Dunst. On the {7-Clubs} turn both players slowed down with a check to the {k-Clubs} river.

Foutty checked a third time and Dunst assembled a bet of 7,000. Foutty took some time before eventually tossing in a chip for the call and the cards were shown.

Dunst opened {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the jack-high bluff and Foutty confidently tabled {9-Spades}{5-Spades} for the hero call with a pair of fives to score the pot.

Weissman Lays One Down

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Joey Weissman opened to 1,800 in middle position and was called by the big blind. The flop came {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades} and the big blind led out with a bet of 1,600. Weissman called and the {7-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn.

The big blind fired out another bet of 4,500 and Weissman stuck around to see the {10-Clubs} on the river. The big blind shipped all in for a little over 18,000 and Weissman thought for a couple of minutes but opted to lay his hand down.
