2025 Wynn Summer Classic
Three events kicked off yesterday (June 2) at the 2025 Wynn Summer Classic. The first event was Day 2 of the $1,600 Seniors which got down to the final table before closing up shop. The final table will return tomorrow to play down to a winner.
Yesterday also saw the start for Day 1A of the $1,500,000 guaranteed $1,100 No Limit Hold'em event.
Plus, a one-day $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Turbo ($100k GTD) crowned another winner.
$1,100 No Limit Hold'em Turbo Goes To Matthew Dodd
Yesterday's $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Turbo was one of several one-day NLH events during the festival at that price point.
This tournament went to Matthew Dodd, who won $42,241 along with a prestigious Wynn Summer Classic trophy.
Dodd finished first out of a field of 177 players, 23 of whom cashed. Their prizes were carved out of a prize pool of $172, 575.
The second-place slice of $25,957 went to Scott Zakheim of Davie, FL.

Seniors Event Down To Final Table
After three Day 1 flights and a completed Day 2, the $1,600 Seniors is down to its final table.
The final nine are the last remnants of a 961-entry field that exceeded the event's $1,000,000 guarantee by a wide margin, hitting a total prize pool of $1,374,230.
Tongguang Sun leads the final table with 6,895,000 in chips. He has a small edge over the number two spot — Skipper Pearson with 5,975,000.
Ernest Ward will be playing the shortest stack with 1,890,000 in chips.
All nine players will return later today to play down to the $251,623 first-place prize.

Frederico Bastos Leads After Day 1A of $1.5m Guaranteed $1,100 NLH Event
After the success of the first $1,500,000 guaranteed event — won by Maxim Lykov — players will be hoping this event duplicates or exceeds the 1,579 entries, $1,523,735 prize pool, and $230,842 top prize.
So far, with just one flight down and two more to go, things are looking good. Yesterday's flight reached 568 entries and $548,120 in the prize pool. As a result, the event is already one-third of the way to its guarantee.
From those 568 entries, only 71 remain.
They will return on June 5 to combine with the other survivors for Day 2 of the event.
Leading the 71 is Frederico Bastos with 1,680,000 in chips. He has a substantial lead over Stephen Dauphinias, who sits in second place with 961,000.

What's Coming Up Today?
Today (June 3), the Wynn Summer Classic has three events lined up. At 11:00 a.m., the $1,600 Seniors No Limit Hold'em final table kicks off.
The final nine of the Seniors Event will be well underway when, one hour later at midday, Day 1B of the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($1.5m GTD) starts up. Late registration for this flight runs until 7:30 p.m.
Then in the evening, another $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Turbo gets underway with a start time of 6:00 p.m. and late registration running until around 9:00 p.m. when level 8 is expected to end.

There were two flights on the docket for June 1. The first of these events was Day 1C of the $1,000,000 guaranteed $1,600 Seniors No Limit Hold'em.
The second event was another one-day $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Turbo event with $100,000 guaranteed.
Max Kingstone Wins $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Turbo
A total of 198 players ponied up the $1,100 buy-in to enter the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Turbo with its $100,000 guarantee.
This put $193,050 in the prize pool, with $47,254 of that set aside for first place.
From those 198 entries, Florida man Max Kingstone emerged victorious, seeing off Igor Golovin of Wisconsin heads up and claiming the top prize along with the Wynn-shaped trophy.
Golovin won $29,036 for second place.

Bush and Liebert Still Lead $1.6k Seniors After Day 1C
At the start of Day 1C of the $1,600 Seniors No Limit Hold'em 50+, the players to beat were Ernest Bush in first with 849,000 in chips and poker legend Kathy Liebert in second with 838,000.
By the end of Day 1C, both Bush and Liebert had managed to hold onto their top spots with the Day 1C chip leader, Armando Figueroa, slotting into third place with 834,000.
These three players head up a remaining field of 144, culled from a total of 961 entries.
This impressive turnout means that the players who return on June 2 for the combined Day 2 field will be competing for a share of a $1,374,230 prize pool.

What's Coming Up Today?
Today (June 2), starts with Day 2 of the $1,600 Seniors No Limit Hold'em 50+ at 11:00 a.m. The remaining players return to battle it out for their share of the massive prize pool.
The money starts from 116th place, so there is still everything to win and everything to lose.
Action will continue until the final table is reached. The final nine will then come back for the third and final day of the tournament tomorrow.
Then at 12:00 p.m., Day 1A of the $1,100 No Limit Holdem event kicks off. Late registration will then run until around 7:30 p.m
This event has three Day 1 flights and a prize pool guarantee of $1,500,000. Unlike some of the smaller events, this one will not have any "turbo" Day 1s. All three Day 1s will use 40-minute blind levels.
If you fancy some faster-paced action, at 6:00 p.m., the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Turbo kicks off.
This game will have 20-minute blind levels and a guarantee of $100,000. Late registration is expected to end around 9:00 p.m.
