May 26 saw the 2025 Wynn Summer Classic put a lot of cards in the air, with champions crowned in a four-card Omaha eights-or-better and a five-card Big O event while the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em event racked up another pair of Day 1 flights.
Adam Friedman Comes Close In Big O Event

f=Five-time bracelet winner Adam Friedman ran deep in the $1,100 Big O ($50k GTD) event, coming 2nd out of 124 entries to the tournament.
With $120,900 in the prize pool, Friedman earned $21,061 for his second-place finish when UK player, David Tarbet eliminated him from the tournament during heads up play.
Tarbet collected $33,248 for his first-place finish.

Ryan Hoenig won the $1.1k Omaha 8 event.
There were two Omaha variants in parallel on May 26. Alongside the Big O event, an Omaha eights-or-better event also played out.
The $1,100 Omaha 8 ($50k GTD) attracted 125 entries, putting $120,625 in the prize pool and $33,170 up top.
The winner's check was cut for Ryan Hoenig, who took the event down, beating New York's Hal Rotholz heads up for the top spot.
Rotholz earned $21,013 for second place.

Aaron Wach Takes Over The Chip Lead After Day 1E Of $1,100 NLH
May 26 saw two flights of the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($1.5m GTD) event get underway, bringing the total entries up to 756 and the total prize pool $729,540.
Aaron Wach has now taken the chip lead after Day 1D & E ended. Wach replaces the Day 1A & B chip leader Maksim Lykov at the top of the leaderboard.
Wach far outstripped Lykov's 817,000 in chips with a final tally of 1,385,000. Lykov is now in fourth place, with two more Day 1 flights left to play out.
The new number two spot is held by three-time bracelet winner Upeshka De Silva who follows Wach in second place with 979,000 in chips in front of him.
Tomorrow does not have any final tables on the docket. Instead, the schedule is clear for what is expected to be the biggest two flights of the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em ($1.5m GTD) event.
The Wynn Summer Classic crowned a champion in the $600 No Limit Hold'em event on May 25, while two new events kicked off.
Qing Liu Wins $107,297 In The $600 No Limit Hold'em
After six Day 1 flights over three days, the field of the $600 No Limit Hold'em event combined yesterday to play down to a winner.
The tournament has attracted total of 1,516 entries for a huge total prize pool of $773,160, absolutely blowing the guarantee of $500k out of the water.
The combined field eventually whittled itself down to just Qing Liu and Sebastien Grax who cut a heads up deal.
Liu earned $107,297 for first place while Grax settled for one dollar less for second.
Day 1A and 1B Of $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Lead By Maksim Lykov
Two Day 1 flights of the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em event kicked off.
The pair of Day 1 flights (one with 30-minute blind levels, the other with 20-minute "Turbo" levels) brought in 225 entries combined and left 27 survivors.
Maksim Lykov currently leads the field with 817,000 in chips. However, there is still plenty more Day 1 action to go. Over the next two days, two more Day 1 flights will play out before combining on the 28th.
As well as Day 2 of the Omaha 8 event, there are three Day 1 flights scheduled for today.
At 11:00 a.m., the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Day 1C starts (this is regular flight, with 30-minute starting blind levels).
Then at midday, the $1,100 Big O event starts, followed by a Turbo flight (20 minute starting levels) of the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em event, Day 1D (Turbo).
