The jackpot hit at Aria, an MGM Resorts property and one of the higher-end resorts on the Strip. The gambler's voice reaction was recorded in a video of what turned out to be a $5 million hit on a $50 spin, one of the largest jackpots you'll ever see from a non-Megabucks slot machine.

YouTuber "Glovetoglory" witnessed the jackpot in question and posted the video on social media. The player, who was not identified, had just $124 left in the Dragon Link machine at Aria when a bonus hit.
On this Aristocrat slot machine, collecting 15 orbs during the bonus round triggers the Grand jackpot. Landing six orbs on a regular spin gets the bonus started, and the player receives three free spins to collect more orbs. Each time an orb is collected, spins are reset to three.
In the case of the dream jackpot winner, the gambler had collected $3,300 worth of orbs, good for 66 times the size of the bet. But because all 15 orbs had ben collected, the $5 million Grand jackpot was added to that total for a $5,003,300 payout.
"I just won $5 million! Oh my god!" a woman is heard screaming. "I just won $5 million!"
Slot machine jackpots over $1 million in Nevada are paid out in one of three ways, according to Scott Roeben of VitalVegas — a lump sump for a reduced amount, installments, or an annuity paid out over time. It's unclear which option the lucky patron chose.
The $5 million win was certainly massive and life-changing for just about anyone not named Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos. But it pales in comparison to the Las Vegas record of $39,712,813, which hit in 2003 on a Megabucks machine at Excalibur, another MGM Resorts casino on the Strip.
As for the biggest sports betting jackpot, that title goes to Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale, the Houston mattress company billionaire, who won $75 million in 2022 betting on his beloved Houston Astros to win baseball's World Series.
