With the top 32 places reaching the money in the €10,450 Main Event, not everyone that advanced to Day 3 would earn a return on their investment. Some of those who busted short of a cash were Henrik Hecklen, Fedor Holz, Davidi Kitai, Shannon Shorr, and Liv Boeree.

Then, with 33 players left in the field, Tobias Ziegler found himself all in with pocket jacks against the AK for [Removed:172]. According to the event reports, a Qx9x8xQ10x board gave Kramer a flush and the winning hand. With that, he knocked out Ziegler in 33rd place and awarded him the unwanted title of "bubble boy."

For Mercier, a three-time gold bracelet winner, he made his 46th WSOP cash by squeaking into the money.

When the players return to action on Thursday, the cards will be in the air at 12 p.m local time with the plan to play down to six players remain. The final six will then have one day off before resuming final table action on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 12 p.m.

On Thursday, Amundsgard will return as the shortest stack remaining with 186,000 in chips, but Nitsche (189,000) and Robert Zipf (190,000) are also short and under 200,000 in chips.
