Karl Rupprec Wins 2019 Boyaa Poker Tournament Europe

Earlier this month, the sixth edition of the Boyaa Poker Tournament came to an end at King's Resort in the Czech Republic. Known for attracting a wide variety of tournaments and festivals, the festival attracted over 800 participants across the Main Event and four side events.

The BPT is a poker series that started in 2015 in Southeast Asia with tournaments in Macau, mainland China, Taiwan, and Vietnam, but this was their first visit to the largest cardroom in Europe

The Main Event was won by German Karl Rupprec for a career-best cash. He turned over a chip deficit heads-up to defeat the 43-player field. On the final hand Rupprec flopped a set of nines, with opponent Ondrej Drozd turning trip twos that gave Rupprec a full house.

Rupprec has enjoyed a productive winter, finishing third in the WSOP-C Six Max event in October for €4,874, and following that up with a runner-up finish in the World Series of Poker Europe Heads Up Championship for €9,120.
