Don't Miss the 2020 WSOP Main Event Heads-Up Tonight!

Hebert Salas

At 5 p.m. local time, the 2020 World Series of Poker Main Event will reach its conclusion live inside the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. It'll be a unique ending for a unique live/online hybrid event, played across two sites and two live venues, as just two players are left from a field of 1,379 to claim poker's most coveted prize.

It'll be Joseph Hebert from the United States to take on Damian Salas of Argentina in a heads-up showdown to decide who will become the winner of the official WSOP Main Event of 2020.

Hebert, winner of the domestic portion of the event, and Salas, winner of the international one, will duke it out for $1 million (on top of their previous winnings), the gold bracelet and the chance to go down in poker history as the 51st winner of the WSOP Main Event, following in the footsteps of Johnny Moss, Doyle Brunson, Stu Ungar, Phil Hellmuth and 2019 champ Hossein Ensan.

Originally scheduled to play out on Dec. 30th, the event was postponed to tonight as Salas' entry to the U.S. was delayed due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

There will not be a live stream of the action; PokerNews will be your go-to source for live updates as we will crown the winner of poker's most decorated tournament tonight. All action is filmed by ESPN and will be broadcasted at a later date.
