Roughrider Poker Tour

We're just a few days removed from the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), but there's plenty of tournament action on the horizon. That includes the Roughrider Poker Tour making its Minnesota debut with RPT Jackpot Junction.

The RPT Jackpot Junction Main Event is a $640 buy-in tournament that will take place Aug. 1-3 at Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel in Morton, Minnesota. PokerNews will be on-site providing live updates of the event.

Tournament Action in Minnesota

Action in Minnesota will kick off on Aug. 1 with a $160 satellite, where the top 20% of the field will win Main Event seats, followed by the first of two flights of the Main Event. A second satellite and final starting flight will take place on Aug. 2, before the Championship Day on Aug. 3.

The Main Event will feature 40-minute blind levels and see players start with 60,000 chips. Each flight will play down to 15% of the field, and everyone who returns for Day 2 will be in the money.

The RPT series will close out with a $250 buy-in Second Chance Tourney.

There have already been some RPT highlights this year, including April's RPT Montana State Poker Championship that saw Dan Burcham chopping with Andrew Hilleren to win $29,000 and the RPT bracelet.

Others who cashed the RGPT Montana State Poker Championship include Richard Bennett, Austin Gates, John Majdic, Shane Broesder and Pat Brunelle.
