Benjamin Rolle, also known online as "bencb789", has captured his first WSOP bracelet by winning the 2025 WSOP Online Main Event taking home a massive $3,900,707. The $5,000 buy-in tournament attracted 5,961 entries, generating a prize pool of $28,314,750. Rolle secured the victory after a brief but intense heads-up battle against Anatoly Zlotnikov, capping off a remarkable run through a stacked field.
This win is particularly satisfying for Rolle, who made the final table of the 2024 WSOP Online Main Event but finished eighth. Unlike last year, when he entered the final table as the short stack, he came in as the chip leader, navigating the day with only a few minor hiccups.
Rolle is the founder of Raise Your Edge, a poker coaching site that offers strategy, training, and free resources for players looking to improve their game. He also streams poker online, sharing hands and insights with his followers. Final Table Action
Coming into the final table, Zengxiang Chen sat comfortably in the middle of the pack, but a few setbacks left him short. Looking for a double, Chen three-bet jammed just under nine big blinds with A♦J♠ after Anatoly Zlotnikov opened A♥10♦ from middle position. Zlotnikov called, and the Q♦7♣Q♠4♦ runout kept Chen safe until the 10♣ river gave Zlotnikov the best hand, making Chen the first player eliminated.
Just a few hands later, Amit Ben Yacov joined him on the rail. Yacov three-bet his 17 big blind stack holding A♥J♦, but ran headfirst into the pocket aces of Felix Rabas, who had opened from early position. A jack on the turn gave Ben Yacov a glimmer of hope, but the river bricked, and he exited in eighth place.
A pivotal hand for the eventual champion unfolded shortly after. Rolle, having lost his early chip lead, min-raised the button with A♦K♠, and Andreas Christoforou shoved 20 big blinds from the small blind with 7♥7♦. Rolle snap-called, and the flop brought Broadway to leave Christoforou drawing dead by the turn. Rolle surged back into the chip lead while Christoforou bowed out in seventh place.
Rolle continued to extend his lead after Santiago Plante open-jammed from the small blind with K♠7♣. Rolle quickly called from the big blind holding A♥10♦, and the board ran out 10♥3♠4♠6♦4♥ to give Rolle top pair and the knockout. Plante exited in sixth place, while Rolle widened his chip lead.
Two quick eliminations followed. Rabas took out Marco Agustin Perez in fifth place, before Zlotnikov won a flip with K♠Q♦ against the pocket sixes of Daniel Smiljkovic, sending Smiljkovic out in fourth place.
Once play reached three-handed, the stacks evened out, setting the stage for a massive pot between Rolle and Rabas. After Zlotnikov folded the button, Rolle called 3,500,000 from the small blind holding A♥K♣, and Rabas raised the big blind to 12,250,000 with A♠9♠. Rolle three-bet to 26,250,000, only for Rabas to four-bet shove for Rolle’s remaining stack of just over 87,000,000. Rolle snap-called.
The flop K♦8♠6♠ gave Rolle top pair but left Rabas with a flush draw, making things sweaty for Rolle. However, the 8♦ turn and K♥ river improved Rolle to a full house, delivering a massive double-up and retaking the chip lead. A few hands later, Rabas fell in third place after running into Zlotnikov’s pocket aces, setting the stage for a heads-up showdown between Rolle and Zlotnikov.
"bencb" Gets His Redemption
Heads-up play lasted just a few hands, as Rolle first doubled up with Ace-King against King-Jack, leaving Zlotnikov down to just nine big blinds. A few hands later, Zlotnikov limped the small blind with A♠9♥ and called off his remaining stack when Rolle jammed K♠Q♠.
Rolle needed a king or queen to take the lead, and the 5♠K♥2♥ flop delivered, putting him in front and on the brink of the WSOP Online Main Event title. The J♠ on the turn left only an ace to stop him, and the K♦ on the river sealed the win, along with the $3,900,707 prize.
