If there's any consolation for Daniel Negreanu following a brutal day of poker on Wednesday, his Thursday World Series of Poker Paradise (WSOPP) vlog should certainly be interesting.

Norman Chad, poker's most vocal hater of unlimited rebuys, might want to sit down while he reads the news we're about to report, for safety reasons. Negreanu busted 10 minutes into his first bullet in the $25,000 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event, a $60 million guaranteed no-limit hold'em tournament.

The quick exit didn't deter the GGPoker ambassador to leave the poker room to spend his afternoon on the golf course where he's decreased his handicap significantly recently. He came back, busted, came back again, busted, and came back again, busted, came back again, busted, came back again. If you're keeping score at home, he's in for $150,000 already, and it's only Day 1a.

Negreanu's first bullet, a hand PokerNews was unable to capture, was quick. He came back for another try and was down to 15 big blinds when he jammed into Bryce Yockey's pocket aces. Yockey, a two-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner, got a bit of revenge from the Poker Hall of Famer, who beat him heads-up to win the $50,000 Poker Players Championship at the 2024 WSOP in Las Vegas.

That elimination sent "DNegs" back to the cashier for another $25,000 entry into the tournament with the largest guaranteed prize pool in poker history. But it would be more of the same when he moved his final nine big blinds in with 7x7x and lost to the 9x9x Casey Hatmaker held, as reported by PokerNews' Connor Richards.

Good news for the heavily-bankrolled poker superstar, this tournament has unlimited rebuys. So, he didn't stop at three bullets. Negreanu entered the tournament for a fourth time and quickly dusted off his stack. He wasn't ready to quit, so he came back for bullet number five, which also went poorly as he ran queen-high into a flopped full house.

The Poker Hall of Famer, however, earned a quick double-up on his sixth bullet right before this article was published.

Negreanu, if he doesn't advance through the Day 1a session, can rebuy as many times as he'd like on Days 1b, 1c, or 1d. Last year's WSOP Paradise Super Main Event attracted 1,978 runners and was won by Yinan Zhou for $6,000,000.

This year's event is on pace to shatter those numbers, with over 850 buy-ins already in the prize pool at the time of publishing, six being from Negreanu. PokerNews will provide live reporting coverage of the WSOP Paradise Super Main Event from start to finish.
