First 888poker $100K Mystery Bounty Title Claimed by Mexico's "davidrin21"
Table Of Contents
Every online poker player dreamed of kicking off 2026 with a bankroll-boosting victory, and Mexico's "davidrin21" did exactly that. The Mexico-based grinder was one of 997 players who bought into the first 888poker $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event of the new year for $109. A day later, they were the last player standing and the recipient of $8,637.
Team 888poker members Ian "Simpioni" Simpson and Aaron "abarone68" Barone were among the Day 1 starters, but they fell by the wayside with around a third of the field remaining.
Two players secured $3,000 mystery bounty payments before they crashed out, but it was Canada's "PokerJ007" who got their hands on not only the largest bounty but the biggest total prize of the event. "PokerJ007" saw their deep run end in an 11th-place finish worth $410, but they opened envelopes containing $10,704, including the $10,000 jackpot bounty, meaning they scooped $11,114 for their efforts.

At the start of the eight-handed final table, Brazilian "M.Fush.N" was the runaway chip leader. Their stack contained 112 big blinds, more than twice the number of second-placed "Leopardpls."
888poker regular "CPU0r" was the first finalist to head to the rail. Having lost all but two big blinds a few hands earlier, they open-shoved for 1.7 bigs with ace-queen from under the gun. Chip leader "M.Flush.N" called with king-nine, and "Leopardpls" called from the big blind with queen-ten of hearts. "M.Flush.N" took the pot down after pairing their nine, and "CPU0r" was gone.
Almost immediately after "CPU0r" bowed out, "estebanss12" joined them on the rail. They open-shoved for less than three big blinds with ace-six, "DudWolf10" three-bet all-in for six big blinds with pocket tens in the small blind, and "M.Flush.N" cold-called with trey-deuce of spades in the big blind. A queen-high board was safe for those pocket tens, and the $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event was down to six players.
Those six became five with the elimination of Denmark's "Family_dad." The Dane's stack had dwindled to less than three big blinds when "M.Flush.N" jammed on them from the small blind. "Family_dad" called all-in with jack-seven and needed some help to beat the preflop aggressor's king-queen. That help never arrived, and "Family_dad" was done and dusted.
Fifth place went to Canada's "Beratna," who busted around the hour mark. The aggressive "M.Flush.N" min-raised on the button with pocket jacks before calling the 15 big blind shove "Beratna" made with ace-six from the big blind. The jacks held, and "Beratna" bowed out. Amazingly, "Beratna" only eliminated one opponent once the mystery bounties came into play, yet still managed to navigate to a fifth-place finish.
At the start of four-handed play, "Leopardpls" had less than five big blinds at their disposal, so it was unsurprising when they crashed out in fourth. Their final two big blinds went into the middle holding pocket nines, which lost to the ace-four of diamonds of "davidrin21," which made two pair on the flop.
Three-handed play ended with "DuduWolf10" losing a coinflip to "M.Flush.N." The latter min-raised with pocket sevens, "DuduWolf10" three-bet all-in from the big blind for 11 bigs with jack-ten of hearts, and the initial raiser instantly called. "M.Flush.N" improved to an unnecessary set on the river to send the tournament into the heads-up stage.
"M.Flush.N" held a significant 77.8 big blind to 15.7 big blind advantage over "davidrun21" at the start of heads-up play, but the Mexican was not ready to lay down and allow the chip leader to have things their own way. They doubled up on the very first hand, yet still trailed almost exactly two-to-one in chips.
Neither player could find a way to secure the win, and the heads-up battle lasted more than an hour, with the lead changing hands several times. Something eventually had to give, and that something happened when "davidrin21" limped with pocket sixes, and "M.Flush.N" checked with eight-deuce of clubs. The flop came down with two eights and an ace, gifting "M.Flush.N" trip eights; both players checked. "M.Flush.N" led on the turn and was called. The river was a six, improving "davidrin21" to a full house. "M.Flush.N" led for half their stack before calling a shove, only to see "davidrin21" had backed into the best hand and the title.
