MiriKKadoni Takes Down 888poker $100K Mystery Bounty Event as XL Winter Series Approaches
Table Of Contents
The $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event at 888poker smashed through its guarantee this week for the first time in several weeks, with 1,034 players creating a $103,400 prize pool. Such a turnout bodes well for the upcoming XL Winter Series, which runs January 18-27 and offers over $1.5 million in guarantees.
The United Kingdom's "MirriKKadoni" excelled on Day 1, ending the night with a 133 big blind stack. Denmark's "bigbluf81 bagged up 96 big blinds to give themselves a legitimate shot of becoming this tournament's champion.
Another Dane, "Caroninh88," was the recipient of the largest mystery bounty payment the event offered. They crashed out in 29th place for $208 but not before pulling the $10,000 jackpot bounty. With the other bounties they collected included, "Caroninh88" took home $10,590, slightly less than the eventual champion's haul.

| 3 | Sunkedunk | Denmark | $120 | 2,360,220 | 59 |
| 4 | FatherSnakes | Brazil | $782 | 2,103,335 | 53 |

| 6 | pevems | Brazil | $1,020 | 643,879 | 16 |
| 7 | shivz93 | United Kingdom | $401 | 240,637 | 6 |
| 8 | nomadnoel | New Zealand | $0 | 113,777 | 3 |
"shivz93," the second-shortest stack at the start of Day 2, doubled up on the first hand to give them a little more breathing room. "nomadnoel" didn't enjoy the same quick start because the New Zealander busted a couple of hands later after being left on fumes after paying the blinds.
Despite that early double, "shivz93" was the next player eliminated. They opted to min-raise on the button from an eight big blind stack, and were called by both blinds. "shivz93" then jammed all-in for a pot-sized bet with a king-high flush draw, was called by "Sunkedunk" in the small blind, who had flopped top pair with their queen-ten, and lost when the turn and river bricked out.
A third elimination in a matter of minutes saw Brazil's "pevems" bow out. The action folded to "FatherSnakes" on the button, who raised with ace-six before calling the 6.6 big blind jam from "pevems" in the small blind. "pevems" revealed a king-jack of hearts. A six on the flop improved "FatherSnakes"' position, but a jack on the turn flipped the hand on its head. The river provided another twist with the ace of hearts improving "FatherSnakes" to two pair, and resigning "pevems" to a sixth-place finish.
Ten minutes later, "BigBluf81," one of two Danes at the final table, min-raised in the cutoff with king-queen, only for "30093009" to three-bet all-in for just under nine big blinds with pocket tens. The initial raiser put in calling chips, and they spiked a queen on the river to reduce the player count again.
Four-handed play spanned more than an hour, ending with "Sunkedunk" heading to the rail. Down to less than 3.5 big blinds, "Sunkedunk" three-bet all-in with pocket queens on the button after "Bigbluf81" had opened with king-deuce of hearts. "BigBluf81" called to put their fellow Dane at risk of busting. "Sunkedunk" flopped a set but the board also gave "Bigbluf81" a flush draw. The flush came in on the turn, but "Sunkedunk" wasn't out of the running because they could improve to a full house or quads. A black ace on the river was no help to the at-risk player, and they fell in fourth place.
The tournament progressed to heads-up after "Bigbluf81" crashed out. Down to a shoving stack, "Bigbluf81" moved all-in for 12.7 big blinds with pocket fours after "MiriKKadoni" had min-raised on the button with ten-nin of clubs. "MiriKKadoni," the chip leader, called the jam, paired their nine on the turn and caught a ten on the river for good measure.
That hand gave "MiriKKadoni" a substantial 75.7 to 35.1 big blind advantage over "FatherSnakes" going into heads-up, but it would take the best part of an hour for a champion to emerge.
Although "FatherSnakes" managed to claim the chip lead at one stage of the one-on-one clash, the night and tournament belonged to "MiriKKadoni." The final hand saw "FatherSnakes" raise with trey-deuce of diamonds, and "MiriKKadoni" defend with queen-seven of spades. The raiser's creativity was rewarded with a trey-seven-deuce flop, which they bet when checked to. "MiriKKadoni" check-raised all-in, and "FatherSnakes" called off the 23.5 big blinds they had behind. The turn was a queen, improving "MiriKKadoni" to a better two pair. A brick on the river sent "FatherSnakes" to the showers and gifted the title and a total of $11,077 to "MiriKKadoni."
