$1M GTD Anniversary Event Set to Fill The Reserve Poker Club in April
Table Of Contents
There are plenty of live tournaments on the calendar this spring, but one that’s likely to draw a strong turnout is the five year anniversary event at The Reserve Poker Club.
Running from April 9–19, the room is celebrating five years in operation with a $1,000,000 guaranteed tournament, and for nearly two weeks it becomes the clear focal point on the floor.
Rather than a packed series schedule, everything centers around this one event, with a steady stream of Day 1 flights feeding into what should be a sizeable Day 2 field. PokerNews will be on-site from that stage, providing live updates through to the winner, similar to coverage seen on major tours like the WSOP and EPT.
Multiple Flights, Plenty of Chances
Players have plenty of opportunities to find a bag, with flights split across two windows:
- April 9–12
- April 16–18
Each day offers two options:
- 12 p.m. flights with 30-minute levels
- 6 p.m. turbo flights with 20-minute levels
The core structure stays consistent throughout, with a $620 buy-in and a 50,000 starting stack. Late registration remains open for 5 hours and 40 minutes in the standard flights, with turbo flights seeing a four hour registration window.

A Few Nice Touches for Players
The format includes some added value that should appeal to regular tournament players.
- Top 10% of each flight advance to Day 2
- Players who bag chips receive $800 at the end of their flight (deducted from final payouts)
- A $3,000 bonus is awarded to players who bag more than once
It’s a structure that rewards getting over the first hurdle, while also giving players something back early if they make it to Day 2. Those looking to sharpen their edge can also check out PokerNews’ tournament strategy tips ahead of the event.
For players not looking to jump straight into the $620 buy-in, satellites have been and are running consistently in the lead-up at The Reserve.
Anyone who makes it through a day 1 flight, will return for Day 2 Sunday, April 19 at 12 p.m. where levels increase to 40 minutes. Survivors from Day 2 will have to come back the following day, with the finale shuffle up and dealing at 4 p.m.
The final table will be also livestreamed from The Reserve’s in-house studio.
