Last week’s near miss turned into redemption for Denmark’s "ukabukas8149", who returned to the tables to capture the $100,000 RakeLESS Mystery Bounty Main Event on 888poker.

Just a week earlier, "ukabukas8149" reached the final table of the regular edition of the $109 tournament and finished third for $6,389. This time around, the Danish player went two spots better, navigating a 935-entry field to claim the title and $8,758 in total winnings.

The victory also came with an extra boost thanks to 888poker’s RakeLESS Sundays promotion, which puts the entire buy-in into the prize pool. The promotion will return for the same event on March 8, March 15, and March 29, giving players more chances to chase bigger payouts.

Final Table Recap

Brazil’s "p1zera" arrived at the final table already among the biggest winners after pulling the $10,000 mystery bounty during Day 1 play. Despite the windfall, their stack dwindled to just seven big blinds before finding pocket kings.

After "MAKKAPAKKK" opened the action, "p1zera" moved all-in and was snap-called by the British player with ace-ten. The board ran out in favor of ace-ten, sending the kings to the rail and ending the bounty hunter’s run.

The eventual champion’s momentum shifted in a huge pot against the same opponent. "ukabukas8149" snap-called a shove holding a king-high flush to scoop a 29 big blind pot, cracking aces and queens to stay firmly in contention.

Short stack "morgan33334" had already laddered up once at the final table, but the classic chip-and-a-chair story came to an end when his dominated king ran into the better hand of "lewebbe14".

Next to fall was "SqxxwreckTXQ", who was eliminated by "Frankstar124", leaving five players remaining.

The tournament soon tilted heavily in "MAKKAPAKKK"’s favor. The Brit found a slice of good fortune after four-bet jamming king-queen offsuit and getting called by ace-ten suited from "lewebbe14". The flop gave "lewebbe14" middle pair and a flush draw, but the river delivered a king-high straight for "MAKKAPAKKK", who also locked up another mystery bounty in the process.

Four-handed play produced one of the biggest confrontations of the final table. "MAKKAPAKKK" open-jammed queen-nine from the cutoff. "Frankstar124" called with pocket fives for his final five big blinds, and "hronnie" woke up with pocket kings in the big blind and called off his last 14 big blinds.

This time the kings held, and "Frankstar124" exited in fourth place.

Mystery Bounty Poker Tournaments - Everything You Need to Know

888poker is the virtual home of Mystery Bounty tournaments. The online poker room hosted the first ever Mystery Bounty Festival, where each event ran as a mystery bounty poker tournament.

At the start of three-handed play it looked like history might repeat itself for the eventual champion. "ukabukas8149" was the short stack with around 10 big blinds, but survived a crucial flip and stole several rounds of blinds to swing the pressure back onto the opposition.

The comeback gathered pace when "ukabukas8149" eliminated "hronnie" in third place to set up a heads-up clash with "MAKKAPAKKK", who held nearly a 2:1 chip lead.

Both players played aggressively in the duel, but the momentum belonged to the Dane. "ukabukas8149" picked up ace-king and won a preflop all-in against ace-nine, leaving "MAKKAPAKKK" with only a few chips.

The very next hand, big slick appeared again and remained best against queen-eight to seal the victory and complete the redemption story for "ukabukas8149".
