The PokerStars WCOOP Boot Camp began over the weekend, and Bulgarian ace Ognyan "cocojamb0" Dimov got the $6.5 million guaranteed series off to a flying start with a victory in the $530 No-Limit Hold'em Bounty Builder High Roller.
A field of 174 entrants created a guarantee-busting $87,000 prize pool, split evenly between the regular and progressive bounty pools.
Soccer sensation Neymar finished two off the money places, although the Brazilian did bag himself a $125 bounty before crashing out in 29th place.
Others who cashed by fell short of a final table appearance included "Sxmon," Peter "Belabacsi" Traply, Jakob "Succeeed" Miegel, and Patrick "JaegsPL" Lauber.
Several big names advanced to the nine-handed final table. Luiz "G1a1u1s1s" Arruda and Finnish grinder Casimir "Ceis25" Seire fell in eighth and seventh place, with Jorge "TakiToRivers" Rios busting in fourth.
Dimov eventually found himself heads-up against "Chengueee," with both players locking in at least $7,671 from the regular prize pool and a now-five-figure final bounty payment. Dimov got the job done and saw $19,314 land in his PokerStars account. The runner-up had to make do with a $9,864 consolation prize.

Brazilian Claims Largest WCOOP Boot Camp Prize So Far
"Luis poke187" is the unfamiliar name who has won the largest single WCOOP Boot Camp prize of the 2026 series. The Brazilian was one of 4,931 entrants in the two-day $75 No-Limit Hold'em PKO Sunday Special. With bounties included, "Luis poker187" took home $30,291 of the $336,195 prize pool.
PokerStars ambassador Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg fell near the bubble, busting in 872nd place with 815 places paid.
Among those who did cash were Joao "jonespkr" Sobrinho, Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen, the previously mentioned Dimov, Blaz "Scarmak3r" Zerjav, Steven "SvZff" van Zadelhoff, and Caio "Pessagno" Pessagno.
United Kingdom-based grinder "BetForNympho" navigated to the final table but could only muster a seventh-place finish worth $4,735, while Brazil's Henrique "Galochina10" Coutinho busted in fourth for $10,269.
"Luis pok187" made short work of "Sheffdoggy" heads-up, helping themselves to a $30,291 score and leaving the runner-up to pad their bankroll with $23,261.

Don't worry if you missed out during the opening 11 events of the 2026 WCOOP Boot Camp because the series runs until August 17, and there are more than 50 events to play out before the curtain comes down on proceedings.
