Simon Mattsson is a Swedish poker player and former online world number one having held the title on at least eight separate occasions. He is best known for playing online under the username 'C. Darwin2'.
He is also a WSOP bracelet winner having taken down the 2022 GGPoker WSOP Online Main Event for $2,793,574 in September 2022.
Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson SCOOP Titles
The very first SCOOP title of Mattsson's career came 13 years ago in a 6-Max Limit Hold'em event. To date, it's the only Medium-tier SCOOP event he's won, outlasting 373 players and a final table that featured Andre Akkari to win $38,233.
Four years later, and now the number one-ranked online poker player in the world, Mattsson won his second SCOOP title and the largest SCOOP first prize of his career.
A run of five SCOOP from 2020-22 saw Mattsson jump up the leaderboard. A double in 2021 followed by two more the following year saw his tally jump to seven.
His name was already held in high regard, but two titles in 2024 put him within touching distance of the record. At that point, only three players had won more SCOOP titles than him. Leader Benny "RunGodlike" Glaser on 11, with Niklas "Lena900" Astedt and Andre "Premove" Skvortsov on ten.
However, 2025 would see Mattsson surge again, winning five titles to stand alone at the top with 14 and a gap of three back to Glaser and Astedt on 11.
