Ted Forrest is a legendary American poker pro and a former Full Tilt Poker ambassador.
The Nevada poker icon is considered one of the best seven card stud players of all time. He was among the top crushers in cash games and tournaments during the 1990s and 2000s, and was a fixture on televised poker shows such as High Stakes Poker and Poker After Dark during the poker boom era.
Biography
Forrest, born September 24, 1964, in Syracuse, New York, is a six-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner. He famously won three bracelets at the 1993 WSOP. Phil Hellmuth also won three that year.
Forrest has over $6.4 million in live tournament cashes. That includes the aforementioned WSOP wins and a World Poker Tour (WPT) title. Although he's posted remarkable results in tournaments, Forrest is most known for his high-stakes cash game prowess, mostly in seven card stud and other mixed games.
The perennial Poker Hall of Fame contender was famously part of the group of top poker pros known as "The Corporation" who took on billionaire investor Andy Beal during the 2000s, winning millions off the wealthy amateur.
Forrest was nominated again for the Poker Hall of Fame in 2025. Hall of Famer John Hennigan penned an op-ed through PokerNews pushing for Forrest to get inducted.
