Martin Guerrero Eliminated in 9th Place (€6,305)

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Mauro Panto's dream run through the tournament just continued after he busted Martin Guerrero in spectacular fashion.

Panto opened to 310,000 under the gun and Guerrero called in middle position. Panto bet 750,000 in the dark before the dealer turned over the QJJ flop, and Guerrero called.

The turn was the 5 and Panto moved all in. Guerrero called for 1,105,000 with AQ for two pair and a flush draw, but Panto had AJ for trips.

Panto walked away from the table awaiting the river, which came the J to give him quads as he leaped into the air in celebration. Guerrero, who began the final table in third place, was sent to the rail in ninth place, while Panto took control of more than half the chips in play.

Bonet Picks Up Aces to Double Off Guerrero

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Martin Guerrero raised to 160,000 in the hijack and Cipriano Bonet moved all in for 435,000 on the button. The table folded back to Guerrero who called to put Bonet at risk.

Cipriano Bonet: AA All in
Martin Guerrero: Q5

Bonet stood up from his seat and began rocking back and forth after showing down his aces. The K92 flop was no threat, but Guerrero picked up some outs on the 5 turn by making a pair. Bonet dodged the 4 river and he sat back down to rake in his double up.

Hundreds came to the Casino Barcelona this week chasing a dream, but only nine remain to battle for the trophy when the final table of the 888poker Live Barcelona Main Event begins at 4 p.m. local time.

Mauro Panto, without a live tournament cash on his poker resume but with plenty of flair and unpredictability in his style, is the massive chip leader after going on a rush of eliminations late yesterday, bagging up 9,730,000. He’s followed on the leaderboard by Hector Garcia (4,230,000), Martin Guerrero (2,800,000), and Pau Veciana (2,325,000).

Johnny Lindroos (1,200,000), Cipriano Bonet (635,000), and Alexander Sokolovsky (395,000) round out the international final table lineup that has five different countries represented.

The final nine players are already guaranteed €6,305 for making it this far out of the 459-entry field. The champion will take home €70,000 at the end of the day. The action picks up on Level 27 with blinds of 40,000-80,000 and an 80,000 big blind ante, and levels will now be 60 minutes long.

888poker will stream the final table on their official YouTube and Twitch channels, with commentary from David Tuchman and Nick Wealthall. PokerNews will also be following the action and providing updates on a 30-minute delay beginning at 4;30 p.m. to match the stream.

Stay tuned throughout the day as nine players battle to determine who will be crowned the champion.
