The river was the A♥ and Dumitra led out for 3,500. O'Brien called and Dumitra showed K♦6♣ for just king-high, while O'Brien had Q♠J♠ as the poker writer took the pot.

Around 10,000 was already in the middle as Thomas Clack and Lucas Alexander went to the river on a board of K♥10♥7♥6♦J♦. Clack then bet 3,400 from the small blind.

Alexander tanked for a few minutes but eventually shoved his entire stack of 16,100 in the middle. Clack also spent several minutes considering the decision until calling to put Alexander at risk.

Alexander showed A♣Q♥ for a straight, and Clack sent A♠K♣ into the muck as the current NPL leader handed over the double up.

Gandhi continued for 1,200 on the 8♥3♦6♠ flop and only McConachie called. The turn was the 4♦ and Gandhi slowed down and checked to McConachie.

McConachie then bet 2,700, but Gandhi came back with a raise to 10,200. McConachie snap-folded and the defending champion took an early hit to his stack.

Ayush Gandhi three-bet to 1,300 on the button before Hamza Nasir four-bet to 4,000 in the hijack. Gandhi called and they went heads-up to the 5♦6♥3♥ flop.

Nasir then bet 2,200 and Gandhi called. Both players checked the 10♥ turn and the J♥ fell on the river.

Nasir then moved all in and Gandhi, with around 22,000 remaining, took a few seconds before folding.

Defending champion David McConachie just took his seat at this table, as did popular YouTuber Inaki Angulo.
