Players on Day 1b begin with a 30,000 starting stack. The schedule calls for 14 40-minute levels to be played today, with a break after every three levels. There are also two turbo flights still to come, Day 1c tonight at 8 p.m. and Day 1d at 11 a.m. tomorrow. All survivors from the four opening flights will then combine for Day 2 at 5 p.m. on March 21. Late registration remains open until the start of play on Day 2.

Dean Lyall won the inaugural version of this event last year, beating out a field of 407 entries to earn £58,130. Lyall, who just missed out on the final table of the High Roller yesterday, will likely be back to defend his title, but he’ll have to combat a sea of players trying to snatch it away today.
