With around 13,000 in the pot on a board of 8♦10♦K♥9♦, Martin Byrne bet 7,000 from the button and Shi Dong called in the small blind.
The river was the 4♥ and Byrne bet 22,000, leaving only a few chips behind. Dong tanked for a minute, but he eventually gave up his hand this time and Byrne, who finished third in this event last year, took down the pot.
Robert Hislop limped in on the button before Michael Kane raised to 2,500 in the big blind. Hislop called to see the A♠A♣3♥ flop.
Kane continued for 1,200, but Hislop raised to 2,500. Kane called.
Both players checked the 7♠ turn. The 8♦ river was also checked down, and Hislop showed A♦4♣ for trips. "That wins," Kane said, expressing surprise that Hislop would check the river.
"I can only get called by better," Hislop explained.

Christopher Hendry raised to 800 under the gun and Mark Wilson called in middle position.
Hendry continued for 1,100 on the Q♣5♠J♠ flop, and Wilson raised to 3,100. Hendry called to see the 2♦ turn.
Wilson then bet 3,000, and Hendry again called. The river was the 3♣ and Wilson moved all in for 30,000. Hendry spent a minute in the tank, but he eventually folded and Wilson took the pot.
Nicholas Swann raised to 800 in the cutoff and was called by Steven Nicholson and Wayne Peach in the blinds.
Swann bet another 800 on the Q♣7♠9♠ flop and both opponents called. All three players then checked the 7♣ turn.
The river was the 9♦ and Peach led out for 5,000. Swann called, while Nicholson got out of the way.
Peach mucked his hand, and Swann showed J♠9♥ for a full house as he took the pot.
Robert Hislop led out for 1,200 from the small blind on a flop of K♠A♣10♠ and Melanie Simpson called in the cutoff.
The turn was the 6♦ and Hislop bet another 3,000. Simpson again called to the 9♦ river, where Hislop bet 3,000 once more. Simpson quickly called, and Hislop showed K♣6♣ for two pair to win the pot.
Three players built a pot of around 16,000 as they went to a flop of 5♣7♥5♦. Action was then checked to the 10♠ turn, where Dean Lyall bet 3,200 from middle position. Marius Varanavicius called in the hijack, while Gary Stokes folded in the big blind.
The river was the 5♠ and Lyall moved all in for 16,000. Varanavicius briefly considered the decision before folding, and Lyall took the pot.
