Figueiredo Wins a Flip to Stay Alive

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Joao Figueiredo and Neil Lawson got all of their chips in the middle preflop with Figueiredo being the player at risk for 71,000. When the cards were tabled, it was a coin flip as to who would win.

Joao Figueiredo: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Neil Lawson: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Figueiredo held the pocket pair and the flop of {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} left him out front. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and the river was the {7-Spades} as Figueiredo held on for a double up.

Beattie Doubles Through Nerron

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

After Larry Nerron opened from middle position, Michael Beattie three-bet shoved all in for 80,500 directly to his left. The action folded back to Nerron who made the call to put Beattie at risk.

Michael Beattie: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Larry Nerron: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The flop came {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} which narrowed Nerron's outs even more. The {4-Hearts} on the turn gave Beattie a flush and secured him the full double up.

Dianaty Dusts Off Mattingly

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Mike Mattingly got his short stack of around 35,000 all in preflop and was at risk against start-of-the-day chip leader Anthony Dianaty.

Dianaty: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Mattingly: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Mattingly had a kicker problem and it got worse when the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop delivered Dianaty top two pair. The {8-Diamonds} turn left Mattingly drawing dead and he headed for the exit after the {8-Spades} was run out on the river.

Big Pot Favors Khomutetsky

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

James Wood and Hyndi Khomutetsky were heads-up in a pot heading to a flop of {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Both players quickly checked and the {2-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Wood checked again and Khomutetsky tossed in a bet of 15,000. Wood called and the {3-Clubs} paired the board on the river. Wood checked again and Khomutetsky splashed in a bet of 75,000. Wood gave it some thought but decided to call, only to have Khomutetsky roll over {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and scoop the pot.
