Negron Starting to Pull Away

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Larry Negron limped in from early position and Anthony Dianaty raised to 175,000 on the button. Negron called to go heads-up to a flop of {q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Negron checked to Dianaty who continued for 100,000 and Negron check-raised to 225,000. Dianaty called.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} and both players checked to the {q-Spades} on the river. Negron counted out a bet of 350,000 and Dianaty made a quick call. Negron turned over {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a full house and Dianaty flew his cards to the muck.

The final nine players are now on a scheduled break.

Melms Shoves on Brown

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Bill Melms raised to 100,000 in middle position and was called by Anthony Dianaty in the small blind and Donald Brown in the big blind. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and the action checked around to the {j-Spades} on the turn.

Dianaty checked again and Melms stuck in a bet of 225,000. Melms called and Dianaty stepped aside. The river was the {j-Hearts} and Brown slid in another bet of 250,000. Melms instantly shoved all in and Brown let out a few curse words before mucking his cards.

Neil Lawson Eliminated in 10th Place ($1,507)

Neil Lawson - 10th Place
Neil Lawson - 10th Place

Neil Lawson raised to 80,000 from early position and Donald "Doc" Brown three-bet to 180,000 from middle position. Action folded back to Lawson who slid in all his chips with the exception of a lone T25,000 chip.

"I call," Brown said thinking he was calling an all in. The dealer clarified, pulled in the right amount, and then ran out the {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop. Lawson bet his last 25K and Brown called.

Brown: {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Lawson: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Brown got lucky to pair his kicker and he scored the elimination after the {6-Diamonds} was run out on the turn followed by the {K-Spades} on the river.

Alexander Grassia Eliminated in 11th Place ($1,507)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Alexander Grassia - 11th Place
Alexander Grassia - 11th Place

Alexander Grassia got his stack of approximately 350,000 all in preflop and was primed to double through Landon Brown.

Grassia: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Brown: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Unfortunately for Grassia, his lead was short lived as the {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop gave Brown a set. Neither the {5-Hearts} turn nor {4-Clubs} river helped Grassia and he hit the rail in 11th place.

Two More Double Ups

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Neil Lawson raised to 80,000 in the cutoff and Donnie Kidman pushed all in for 250,000 in the big blind. He got a snap-call from Lawson and the two players flipping.

Lawson showed {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} while Kidman held {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. A flop of {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{6-Spades} favored Lawson but the {4-Clubs} on the turn quickly gave Kidman the lead. The {k-Diamonds} completed the board and Kidman doubled up.

In the next hand, Anthony Dianaty shoved all in for 355,000 and Donald Brown called from the small blind. Dianaty held {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} against the {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts} of Brown. The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Dianaty was able to stay alive.

Peter Wang Eliminated in 12th Place ($1,507)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Peter Wang - 12th Place
Peter Wang - 12th Place

With around 190,000 in the pot and a flop of {7-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts}, Day 1a chip leader Peter Wang checked from the small blind and Landon Brown bet 65,000 from the hijack. Wang woke up with an all-in check-raise to roughly 300,000 total and Brown snap-called.

Brown: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Wang: {7-Spades}{8-Spades}

Wang had flopped middle pair but was way behind Brown's overpair. The {5-Clubs} turn killed a lot of Wang's outs and he was sent out the door in 11th place after the {10-Spades} was run out on the river.
