WhiteRabbito Bubbles

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Dylan "WhiteRabbito" Honeyman has just bubbled!

He three-bet jammed to 60,000 from the button after Scott Davies had opened to 8,000. Davies called and Honeyman tabled {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, which wasn't in good shape against Davies' {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, with both players making a flush, but Honeyman hitting the rail.

With that, the players rejoiced as they are now in the money!

There was perhaps no player more excited than the most recent ANZPT Auckland bubble boy Dean Blatt as he has now made the money of ANZPT Perth. Blatt's friend Nathan Gubieski, who was the runner-up in Auckland, was heard on the rail saying, "In true Blatters-style, he folded his way to the money."

Yann Out Two From the Money

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Yann Yin Shing Yeun has just been eliminated in a meaningless 29th place. He was all in preflop holding {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} against {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} the of John Aufdemkampe. The board ran out {3-Hearts}{q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades} and that was that.

Double for Vesko

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Vesko Zmukic was down to his last 22,000 when he moved all in from under the gun. The table folded around to Aaron Lim on the button who was the lone caller.

Zmukic: {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Lim: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The flop landed {10-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{9-Spades} to pair up Lim as Zmukic stood from his chair and grabbed his jacket in resignation. However he had to quickly sit back down again when the {3-Clubs} appeared on the turn to give Zmukic the two outer!

The river was the {9-Diamonds} as Zmukic find a pulse once again to climb to a little over 50,000 in chips.

Lackovic Double

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Patrick Mahoney opened it up to 8,000 before Stev Lackovic three-bet to 67,000. Mahoney thought that was an all in, made the call and went to flip over his cards. The players at the table told Mahoney Lackovic still had 1,000 behind and so Mahoney held onto his cards.

Lackovic and Mahoney checked it down to the river of a {3-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} board and then moved all in on the river. Mahoney called and tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, which went into the muck when Lackovic showed {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

Big Day for Davies

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Dylan Honeyman opened from under the gun with a min-raise to 8,000 before Matt Lester moved all in next to speak for his last 58,000. Action folded to Scott Davies on the button. He thought briefly before declaring himself all in to force folds around the table.

Lester: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Davies: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

Davies was in great shape and nothing changed through the board of {10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}. Lester hits the highway in 30th place as Davies, who started today with the second shortest stack in the room, is flying high with a stack of around 300,000 in chips.

Mascardi Latest Gone

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Eddie Mascardi was all in preflop for his last 51,000 with {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts} but again it was Stephen Woodhead who was there to do the damage as he tabled a dominant {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} to see Woodhead take the pot to climb to a commanding 475,000 as Mascardi’s elimination inches us one spot closer to the money bubble.

We are now down to 30 players, remembering that 27 players finish in the money.

Dam, Ngoc is Gone

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Ngoc Long Dam got his short stack in preflop holding {a-Hearts}{7-Spades} and was up against recent ANZPT Auckland champion David Lim's {k-Spades}{9-Spades}. The board ran out {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} - no good for Dam as he was sent packing. Lim is putting himself in the position to make back-to-back ANZPT final tables.

Bain Done

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Tristan Bain hung onto life with a double up, but was then eliminated shortly thereafter.

Firstly, Bain was down to just three antes when he moved all in. Stephen Woodhead then raised it up to 8,500 on his direct left and Tamara Volkoff called out of the big blind. Bain watched on as the dealer spread out a {2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop. Volkoff check-called a bet of 8,500 from Woodhead here and then check-called a bet of 16,500 on the {k-Clubs} turn. The river was a {5-Spades} and this time both active players checked.

Volkoff had {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, enough to trump Woodhead's {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, but Bain more than tripled up with {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

Just a couple of hands later and Bain was all in preflop holding {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades} against Stephen Woodhead's {a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{3-Spades} and it was all over for Bain.
