James "Andy McLeod" Obst has a stack looking a lot healthier than that of Billy "The Croc" Argyros, especially after the following hand played out.
Obst raised to 750 from late position and managed a call from Argyros in the big blind before the flop fell

. Obst conitnued his aggression with a 1,150-chip bet after Argyros checked. A call would see the
hit the turn and again The Croc checked to Obst. This time it was 2,350 from Obst, enough to send Argyros' hand to the muck.
A few of the players at the table said that Obst should show his hand, and, while under no obligation, he quickly flashed the

While the exact prizepool has yet to be posted, the number of entries has been made known by the tournament staff with aproximately 260 starting the day, making for a prizepool of over $1,200,000.
A flop was showing

with Tony Hachem set to act in a pot against Andrew Hinrichsen.
Hachem checked to Hinrichsen, who made it 800 to see a turn. Hachem decided to call and see the
hit the turn. Hachem would again opt to check and this time Hinrichsen made it 1,850. Hachem made the call and the
fell on the river.
This time Hachem changed it up and led for 2,400. Hinrichsen called and mucked his hand as Hachem tabled
for a rivered flush.
As Hachem's stack is starting to rise and Hinrichsen's is starting to shrink, it will be interesting to see if the two can recapture their success at WSOP with deep runs.

It was a battle of two different kinds of poker stars as PokerStars.net qualifier Ivan Zalac raised to 800 from under the gun and PokerStars Team Pro Joe Hachem made the call from the small blind.
Flop:

On the flop, Hachem check-raised his opponent to around 2,900 and Zalac instantly called to see the
fall on the turn.
Hachem would lead this time, with a 8,300-chip bet sent his opponent's way. At this point Zalac moved all in for over 20,00 and sent Hachem into the tank.
Hachem eventually folded and as his opponent raked in the chips Hachem said he folded a set of threes. Zalac then told Hachem that he had the nut flush. The two then continued with some friendly banter as the pro had no hard feelings towards the qualifier.
Van Marcus is looking like the early chip leader, with his stack towering over the players at his table and what looks like most of the field at the moment.

Team PokerStars.net Pro Bryan Huang and well known Aussie local Vesko Zmukic have just been involved in a hand over at their table.
Huang was under the gun, where he made the raise to 650. Zmukic would be the only player to come along for the ride, as a flop fell

.
Huang led out for 800 and Zmukic made the call as the
fell on the turn.
Again Huang would be the aggressor, this time sending a 1,700-chip bet Zmukic's way. Another call and the
would hit the river. Huang wouldn't slow down yet, throwing out another 1,700.
This time Zmukic would fire back at Huang, raising to 5,000. Huang decided he was beat and let his hand go, sending the pot to Zmukic.

If Ali Khalil ever wants to quit poker, he may have a future as a psychic. Ethier that, or he was just being hopeful.
After a middle-position player made a small raise, three players, including Khalil in late position, made the call. Just as the dealer was about to turn the cards over Khalili said, "Let's see a king-four-seven flop please."
When the flop fell

the players at the table all had something to say, as the play was checked around to the psychic Khalil and he made it 1,700. One of the players didn't believe Khalil and made the check-raise, pushing his stack all in. Khalil snap-called and showed his
for bottom set. The
of his opponent would need some help, but it wouldn't come as the turn and river bricked out.
Khalil now sits with 61,000.
