Jefferey Garrett is looking like the odds on favourite to be the bubble-boy, with Garrett forced all-in when he is the big blind in a couple of hands time.
Michael Frydman raised to 20,000 from under the gun which sent the action around to Phares Bouya in middle position. Bouya popped it to 60,000 and with the play back around to Frydman, he moved all-in for 113,000 and Bouya snap-called.
Bouya:
Frydman:
Frydman would just have to dodge a seven and when the board ran out , it was all safe for Frydman who, at this stage, won't be today's bubble boy.
The tournament director has just announced that the action will now go hand-for-hand as we approach the money bubble at the APPT Melbourne Main Event.
Of the 29 remaining players, 28 will go home with at least $8,600 while one unlucky player will get the bubble-boy title and the no cash prize to go along with it.
Tony Hachem will be wishing he never went up against Leo Boxell, with Boxell not only leaving Hachem crippled earlier but now also dealing the fatal blow to Hachem's tournament life.
Hachem raised to almost 50,000 and Boxell moved all-in from the button. Hachem called off for the remainder of his stack and the players turned their hands over.
Hachem:
Boxell:
Hachem was gonna need some big help that would never come as the board ran out .
We came to the action with a board showing and with Jefferey Garrett, Anatoly Parshenkov and Aaron Lim in the hand.
Parshenkov was first to act and made it 15,000 to go and received the call from Lim before the action was sent to Garrett. A re-raise to 55,000 was then made, at which point Parshenkov moved all-in.
Lim got out of the way and Garrett made the call, turning over for a turned set, while Parshenkov turned over for a turned straight.
The river bricked and the big pot was sent the Russian's way.
