After only three and a half hours of play on Day 3 at the PokerStars.net APPT Queenstown Main Event we have reached our final table!

The day started with many skilled and recognizable players taking to the felt and when all was said and done the final nine wouldn’t disappoint with the likes of young Australian stars, Jonathan Karamalikis, Hugh Cohen and Tom Grigg all present at the final table.

It is remarkable to note that both Grigg and Karamalikis made it to final tables at events at the 2010 APPT, with Karamalikis eventually taking down the Sydney Grand Final victory, while Grigg would go on to finish 2nd at the 2010 APPT Auckland event.

We would be amiss not to mention that Cohen would make for an interesting victor if he manages to take down this event, with his brother Julian having won the PokerStars.net ANZPT event in Queenstown last year.

Going into the final table we have Germany’s Marcel Schreiner heading the chipcounts after starting the day with the lead, while Matt Yates managed to cruise his way to a monster stack after starting the day with an average stack.

Tomorrow is set to be one of the most exciting final tables in APPT history with plenty of the best aggressive players from all around set to take to the felt and make their way to the victory and the NZD$94,300 that goes with it.

Who’s is going to crush their way to an APPT title? The only way to find out will be to join the PokerNews Live Reporting Team from 12.30 pm local time as a 2011 APPT Queenstown Champion is crowned!

For now, we'll leave you with Karamalikis and Daniel Neilson battling it out on the "Frisbee Golf" course. We think Jono should stick to poker...
