The last hand before the break has seen Billy Argyros eliminated in 14th place. Argyros started the hand in question as one of the shortest stacks in the room and opted to get the last of his chips in holding on the turn of a board. Grigg had led for 30,000 on the turn, holding , and made the call for another 107,000 when Argyros shoved.
Argyros had some outs, but the on the river kept Grigg in front and send Argyros to the rail with $15,100 for his time.
James Bills just raised under the gun to 25,000, and that was the spot Nigel Andrews had been waiting for. He moved all in for 140,000, and the action was folded to Tam Truong in the small blind. After a while he decided to call. Bills rechecked his cards, and tossed them into the muck.
Tam Truong
Nigel Andrews
The board ran out , and Andrews stayed alive. Truong took another hit and is down to 445,000.
Folded to Tom Grigg on the button, he raised it up to 25,000. Gary Benson called out of the small blind and it was on to Tam Truong in the big blind, who three-bet to 65,000. Grigg made the call and Benson got out of the way.
On the flop, Truong led for 75,000 and Grigg made the call. Both players checked the turn and an hit the river. This time Truong took his time before sliding out a bet of 125,000. Grigg thought and thought, before eventually making the call.
Truong almost shrugged as he turned over for nothing but ace-ten high, while Grigg flipped over - enough to scoop up the big pot and surge back up the chip leader board.
