Kelly Doubles

Level 7 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

After a raise to 5,200 and the call by JP Kelly in the cutoff, Aaron Lim called in the small blind and the player in the big blind squeezed to 20,000. The initial raiser and Kelly called, Lim mucked. On the {Q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop, the player in the big blind led for 30,000 and was called by the Brit only to see the {K-Spades} on the turn.

Now Kelly's opponent tanked for more than two minutes before betting 45,000 and receiving a rather quick call. On the {5-Hearts} river Kelly called the shove immediately and quickly flipped over his {J-Spades}{10-Spades} for a straight, the opponent busted with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. Thanks to the third player in the hand, the Brit essentially doubled his stack.

Second Break

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The players have been sent into the second break and the screens showed 72 unique entries and 21 rebuys thus far. However, those numbers are not final and will definitely change still as at least two players registered and other participants including Steve O'Dwyer ordered more stacks on the way out.

Kaplan Shoves the Flop

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

On a flop of {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, a bet of 19,000 was in front of Seng Yee Leow and Jordan Kaplan moved all in for what looked like 49,000 in total. Leow didn't want to call and rather sent his cards into the muck before heading into the break.

Sing Busts a Shortie

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Simon Sing raised to 4,500 and the player in the big blind shoved for 27,900. Sing reluctantly called with {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and was shown the monster hand {4-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The Board ran out {5-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and that was it for the short stack, who received an early break.

Alner Back Above Starting Stack

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Upon arriving on the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} turn, three players including Tom Alner in the big blind had checked and the {6-Hearts} on the turn saw no betting action either. On the {K-Hearts} river, Alner fired 11,000 and was called by the initial raiser only. The Brit turned over his {8-Spades}{9-Spades} for a straight and the opponent flashed {K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for a pair of kings.

Leow Gets Cards Mucked

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Over on table 22 the emotions just cooked up with the board reading {2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and there were already more than 100,000 chips in the middle. The player on the button had moved all in for 78,600 and Seng Yee Leow was suddenly without cards. The dealer had grabbed the cards while they were not really anywhere near the muck and the Malaysian complained to floor staff.

Since the cards could not be retrieved from the muck anymore, his hand was declared dead and the pot shipped to the opponent.

"Pick one card" was the offer and Leow selected the {K-Diamonds}. The Malaysian said "You have stolen from me, I confirm I have a pocket."

Saleh Busts in Unfortunate Fashion

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

It was a roller coaster run-out of the {9-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{K-Hearts} board after Elias Abou Saleh and his opponent Simon Sing had both flopped trips. On the turn, the Lebanese had improved to a full house with the {J-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and called the river shove of Sing to get shown the {J-Spades}{K-Clubs} for a higher full house.

Saleh threw his cards in disgust almost over the entire table and rushed out of the tournament area. Sing moved to around 145,000 chips after being rather short not long ago.
