Cardyn Busts Zhang

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Nicolas Cardyn opened to 13,000 from early position and Wei Zhang moved all in for around 90,000 in chips out of the hijack seat. The Frenchman quickly called with {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and had the dominating kicker to the {A-Spades}{10-Hearts} of his opponent. On a board of {4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, there was no help for the Chinese and he exited in 35th place.

Gu Busts Hao in Coin Flip

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Si Cong Hao three-bet shoved for around 100,000 in chips and initial raiser Huidong Gu made the call with the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Hao was flipping with {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and the board ran out safely for Gu with {4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{K-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. He politely greeted his opponent with a traditional gesture and Hao was off to collect his winnings.

Cardyn Doubles Through Fu

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

It has been a horrendous start for chip leader Xiaohua Fu while Fan Zhao has moved into the top spot on around 800k in chips. And to make things worse, Nicolas Cardyn also just doubled up through Fu as well.

The Chinese raised to 17,000 from under the gun and called a 41,000-three-bet of the Frenchman, who was sitting in the hijack seat. On the {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop, Fu check-raised from 50,000 to 112,000 and Cardyn moved all in for another 111,000 on top. Fu reluctantly called and flipped over {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} but was in bad shape against the {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} of the Frenchman.

With the {5-Hearts} turn and {2-Clubs} river, Cardyn moved up to more than half a million in chips while Fu has been cut down to half of that.

Reboli Flushed

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ke Jing Li raised to 13,000 from middle position before Bruno Reboli moved all in for his remaining 43,000 from the cut off. The table folded back around to Li who made the call before both players tabled their cards.

Li: {4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Reboli: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Reboli started with the best hand but it wouldn't last as the board ran out {2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades} to see Li make a flush to take down the pot.

Ho Doubles Through Fu

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Cheng Ho moved all in for just short of 130,000 from under the gun. The decision folded to Xiaohua Fu in the hijack who made the quick call as everyone else got out of the way.

Ho: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Fu: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} to see Ho catch a king on the river to win with the higher pair. Ho now has 270,000 in chips following the hand. Fu drops down to 555,000 in chips.

Shi Eliminates Na

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Haoxiang Shi raised to 16,000 from the cut off and watched as the action folded around to Hecheng Na on the big blind. He then moved all in for his remaining 47,000 in chips and was called.

Shi: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Na: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Na was looking in great shape to double with the over pair until the board ran out {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{5-Clubs} to see Shi spike a nine on the flop to give him a winning set.

Chen Second to Fall

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

As expected the action continued fast and furios. Shen Ming Yin and Chao Chen clashed in a preflop all in situation and both players had aces with weak kickers, though that would play a crucial role in the showdown.

Yin: {A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Chen: {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

The {3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop provided a pair of threes for Yin and bottom pair for Chen, who also held the nut flush draw. Both the {7-Hearts} turn and the {8-Hearts} river bricked and Chen headed to the payout desk.

Su Eliminated First

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The action folded around to Zhifeng Yao in the small blind who bet enough to commit Hao Su all in. He obliged with a call and the cards were tabled.

Yao: {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

Su: {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{q-Spades} to see Su unable to connect with the board as he was sent to the rail early on Day 3. For his efforts he’ll collect HKD$54,500.
