Han Triples; Xu Eliminated

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

There was a three-way all-in in progress, with Seong Jin Han all in for only a handful of blinds. He held {j-Hearts}{5-Spades} and was in bad shape against the {a-Hearts}{8-Spades} of Zinan Xu and the {a-}{q-} of Ngoc Khanh Le.

However, a jack on the {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop gave Han the chance of a triple. The {3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} runout could not save Xu who was eliminated as Han chipped up to just under ten big blinds.

Yin Was Happy Up Until River

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Jixue Yin was just a card away from a crucial double up but unfortunately for him, he is in the rail.

He shoved from under-the-gun with {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and got called from Eugene Co in the big blind with [{j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

The board gave Yin a pair on the flop with [{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, kept him in the lead after the {3-Hearts} on the turn, and he asked for a deuce on the river.

Instead, the {j-Diamonds} was one of the two cards he didn't want to see, sending him to the rail.

Alan Lau: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Quan Zhou: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Lau managed to stay alive, doubling his stack.

Mateo Avoids Massive Confrontation

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On a {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop, Christopher Mateo had bet 21,500 and William Kang, who also started the day with over 200,000 in chips, moved all in for around 209,000.

"Why all in?" asked Mateo.

"I think I'm ahead," replied Kang. "You might outdraw me, but I think I'm ahead.

"I'll show you one card," he offered.

"Two cards..." said Mateo

"No," said Kang, "One card.

Mateo eventually folded and Kang offered his opponent both cards to pick from. Mateo picked the {9-Hearts} and Kang took down the pot.

Chop-Chop

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Cheng Low shoved and Qi Wang called for 30,000 chips on the next position. Everybody folded and the two players open their cards.

Low: {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Wang: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

The flop gave something to both of them, with {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} giving a set to Wang, but at the same moment Low found a flush draw, and a gutshot straight draw.

The turn was the {q-Diamonds} that didn't change much, but the {10-Diamonds} on the river was a straight for the board, that counterfeited both players hands.

While the dealer was chopping the pot, they agreed that they both should be happy, based on the flop.

Han Lost a Pot

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Tae Hoon Han started by losing a small pot against Hermann Lee. The board was reading {2-Spades}{6-Spades}{k-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Han had bet 37,500 chips.

His opponent thought about it for a couple of seconds and called. The {k-Clubs} completed the board on the river and this time Han checked back after his opponent's check.

Lee opened a pair of jacks, which was good, since Han mucked his cards.

Erfahani Among the Chip Leaders After Garcia Elimination

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ali Nasr Erfahani started the day with around 270,000 but has moved up to over 350,000 after the elimination of Wendell Garcia.

The board read {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and Erfahani had checked to Garcia who had moved all in for around 50,000. Erfahani took his time before calling. Garcia shrugged and tabled {j-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a jack-high bluff and Erfahani showed {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a pair of nines.

The river was the {5-Hearts} and Garcia was eliminated.

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A three-way all in involving Melvin Tay, Zhu Jun Huang and Shih Ciao Wang saw Tay more than double and send Huang to the rail.

Melvin Tay: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Zhu Jun Huang: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Shih Ciao Wang: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

A jack on the flop of {j-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} gave Tay the lead. The turn was the {7-Clubs} and the river {5-Hearts} improved Tay to a full house to eliminate Huang and double through Wang to the tune of 120,000.
