Weng Flipped Out by Crawshaw

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Hamish Crawshaw
Hamish Crawshaw

Derek Weng raised and picked up one caller on the button before Hamish Crawshaw made it 11,000 to go from the small blind. Weng pushed and Crawshaw called as they flipped.

Derek Weng: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Hamish Crawshaw: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}

The {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Spades} flop let Weng celebrate but he was drawing dead on the {7-Clubs} turn to make the {2-Clubs} river a formality.

Magdalinski Left Very Short

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a heads-up river of {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, Yan Chee Chong checked out of the big blind. Jonas Magdalinski bet 10,000 for around one third of his stack and then faced a check-raise to 50,000 by Chong, to which he sigh-folded and exposed the {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a straight.

Yong returned the favour and flashed the {7-Spades} for a successful bluff, leaving Magnalinski with a very dry smile on the face.

Lim Among the Big Stacks

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Minh Anh Nguyen is no longer to be found on his previous table, which now contains a big stack in Chhay Lem Lim. He was involved in the last hand that saw Diego Valencia bet a four-way flop of {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for 3,200. Lim on the button and the small blind came along for Valencia to bet the {5-Spades} turn for 15,000, which only Lim called.

Both checked the {q-Hearts} river and Valencia tabled the {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} as the winning hand.

Hussaini Searching for a Miracle Comeback

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Hamish Crawshaw was all-in or 22,700 preflop with the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and narrowly ahead of his table neighbour Meerwais Hussaini, who tabled the {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

The {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{q-Spades} board let the kicker play and Hussaini was left with fumes.

Those went in shortly after with {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} against Mai Bien with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. Hussaini wasn't greedy to ask for a flush while munching on his dinner and instead made two pair on the {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} runout.

"Can you write that he had jack-ten?" he joked before turning the attention back to his meal.

Pullen Wins Bigger Pot Off Lee

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Hwany Lee opened to 3,000 and was called by Brett Pullen in the big blind, which led to the {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop. Pullen check-called a bet worth 3,000 and both checked the {j-Spades} on the turn.

After the {q-Hearts} river, Pullen bet 7,000 and called a raise to 20,000 for Lee to table the {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, which Pullen had beat with {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a full house.

Small Pot for Soma With a Check-Raise

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Leo Soma defended out of the big blinds against Keita Minami and then checked the {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop. The Frenchman double-checked his cards before he check-raised to 3,500 and Minami tossed his cards into the muck.

Both players hover around the starting stack after the hand was over and have plenty of work ahead of them.
