Final Break on Day 1b Underway

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Some 102 players out of 219 entries remain as the third and final scheduled 10-minute break of Day 1b has officially commenced. During that time, the T-100 chips will be raced off as they are no longer required for the remainder of the night.

Once the cards go back in the air for level 11, the registration for this flight will be over. All casualties from there on out can only jump into the turbo heat 1c in order to run up a stack for Day 2.

Turbo Heat 1c Underway

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

As the end of the late registration is certainly looming for Day 1b with some 102 players out of 219 entries remaining, the turbo heat 1c with 20-minute levels has just kicked off. Two tables are in action right now and the overall field size already surpassed 400 total entries.

Hilberts Eliminated in Three-Way All-In

Thijs Hilberts

With 13,000 in the middle to the 632 flop, the action escalated and three players got their chips into the middle. Thijs Hilberts was one of them for what appeared to be 27,300 in the big blind while Julian Warhurst was also at risk for 34,300. Both were covered by Hun Tae Choi with the far superior stack.

Thijs Hilberts: 63
Julian Warhurst: 66
Hun Tae Choi: KQ

The A turn and K river brought no help for Choi despite his vivid demands. Hilberts grabbed his belongings in disappointment and shrugged "too many chips in the pot".

Kydatov Doubles Through Mondalo

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

In the most classic of flips, Lev Kydatov was the at-risk player and tabled the AK. Bonifacio Mondalo held the far superior stack and pocket pair in QQ.

It was Kydatov who got there right away on the AJ3 flop, he then remained ahead on the 2 turn and 4 river to stay in contention.

Dedalov Eliminated by McCully

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Fedor Dedalov defended against Joshua McCully and paired up on a 1096 flop only to see his 105 dominated by the A10 of McCully. The turn was a blank and the A river only improved McCully to two pair with the already superior hand.

Final Level of Registration for Day 1b

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With a side event underway that features many of the Day 1a survivors, the grand ballroom is filled with live poker action. At the same time, a satellite is about to kick off while Day 1b has reached level ten.

Some 216 entries have already been recorded and that has surpassed the field size of the 2022 edition. Only 99 players remain and they will try to avoid a trip to the registration desk in the final level of the registration period for this flight.

One table in particular was six-handed on three occasions as several shorter stacks departed.

The first one to go was Ngoc Quoc Luat Tran, who was the shortest stack in a three-way showdown during which Denis Pham called his shove, then sigh-called the all-in of Jiazhi Zhong for 35,400 as well.

Ngoc Quoc Luat Tran: K9
Jiazhi Zhong: AK
Denis Pham: JJ

The A9245 board gave Zhong the best pair and Tran was knocked out.

Sameer [Removed:550] jammed the last 12,300 in the next hand for Grant Gardner to call in the big blind.

Grant Gardner: AJ

The 10556A board delivered the ace on the river. Wing Kei Chan then bowed out shortly after as the table had to wait for new players once more.
