Ivan Tan Wins Another Big Pot

Ivan Tan made it 40,000 to go from under the gun and was called by Sankgyoun Kim, who is sitting to Tan's immediate left; the rest of the table got out of the way.

The flop came {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Ivan led out with a 55,000 bet. Kim then upped the ante to 155,000 which sent Tan into the tank. After a solid minute had passed, Ivan pushed his entire stack across the betting line, prompting Kim to wave the white flag and surrender.

After the hand, Tan stacked up right around 650,000 in chips and is still our tournament chip leader.

Graeme Putt - 15th Place

Graeme Putt, who flew under the radar for much of the day as one of the tournament's short stacks, has just been eliminated from the main event in 15th place. Putt moved all in from under the gun holding {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and was called by Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier who tabled {A-Spades}{10-Spades}.

The heavy damage was done on the flop, as ElkY paired his ace, leaving Graeme drawing to just two outs. Unable to catch a third queen, Putt was eliminated from the tournament, collecting $8,096 in prize money for his troubles.

Mika Pekka Hallstrom - 16th Place

Mika Pekka Hallstrom made it 20,000 to go from under the gun and Claus Valloe responded with a re-raise of 100,000. Mika opted to call off his remaining 80,000 and at the showdown, the players revealed:

Mika: {8-Spades}{9-Spades}
Claus: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

Mika picked up a flush draw by the turn, as the board had filled out {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{J-Spades}, but the {9-Hearts} on the river locked up the hand for Valloe, effectively eliminating Hallstrom from the tournament in 16th place. Hallstrom picked up $8,096 in prize money for his efforts.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Lunardini open-shoved all in, having Tate covered. Tate made the call and turned over pocket aces; Lunardini tabled {8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for two pair.

The turn and river came {J-Spades}, {2-Spades} and Lunardini's two pair would hold, eliminating Tate from the tournament in 17th place, worth $4,858 in prize money.
