Flurry of Eliminations Preceeding Dinner

On the last hand before the break, William Tam eliminated Lance Yuen from the tournament in 22nd place ($4,858), leaving us with 21 players heading into dinner.

Guilliaume Patry is the chip leader at the break with just over 700,000 in chips.

The players will return from the dinner break at approximately 8:00 p.m. PST local time, at which time they will play down to the final nine.

We'll be back at 8:00 - see you then!

Chris Levick Eliminated in 23rd Position

Chris Levick moves all-in from the button for his last 32,500 with {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, only to run into the Guillaume Patry steam train with {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}. On the turn the board read {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} giving Levick a small ray of hope, but the {2-Clubs} on the river sent him to the rail in 23rd position.

Patry Padding His Stack

Guillaume Patry's elimination of Tobias Schulze has broadened the gap between Patry and the field's second largest stack, which belongs to Zhong Tan (280,000).

Our latest count has Patry in the ballpark of 550,000 in chips.

Carlone Crippled

Luca Carlone made it 20,000 to go from under the gun and was met by a reraise from Ang Pang Leng, who came over the top for 64,000; Luca made the call.

Luca: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Ang: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The board filled out {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Leng took down the pot with tens full of nines, leaving Carlone with just 6,000 in chips.

Anders Carlsson -- 28th Place

Short-stacked, Anders Carlsson moved all in from the button holding {Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and was called by William Tan in the big blind who showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}.

The flop came {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, giving Carlsson top pair, but it also gave Tan the nut flush draw. Another of Tan's outs, a king, fell on the turn, leaving Carlsson drawing to a non-diamond queen or five to stay alive. The river was indeed a queen, but the queen of diamonds, giving Tan a flush and the checkmark for the hand.

For his 28th-place finish, Carlsson took home $4,048 in prize money.
