Khalil Caught in the Cookie Jar

Mixing it up with Marianna Agacheva, Ali Khalil has come off second best.

On a flop of {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Khalil three-bet Agacheva all in and she made the call for her tournament life, tabling the nut straight {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Our reporter on the floor did not see Khalil's cards, but he did not have a flush draw. The board blanked out for Khalil, with a {2-Diamonds} turn and {9-Spades} river.

A short time later, Khalil was eliminated after pushing {4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} into an opponent's {A-Clubs}{k-Clubs} on a flop of {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts}. The turn {j-Clubs} and river {5-Clubs} eliminated him from the field.

Channing/Smyth Over 20,000

Neil Channing and Marty Smyth have rolled over 20,000.

With Channing at the table, they turned a set of queens and got all of the money in good. Channing's hand held up and the Channing/Smith team moved over the 20,000 chip mark.

Cabrera Straightens Out Rodrigues

Shortly before the change over, Abel Cabrera gave his teammate Trung Tran some breathing room after a taking a hit to their stack.

Cabrera, holding {j-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, got a nice flop of {10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and an even better result when Manny Rodrigues bet enough to put him all in. Rodrigues' {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} had flopped a set and had outs to a full house on the turn and river, but couldn't hit. The board completed {6-Spades},{2-Spades} to give Cabrera the double up.

Cabrera/Tran have 3,600. Rodrigues/Ollyzk are down slightly to 10,800.
