Levy Misses

It was a big flop for Grant Levy, but not the result he was looking for as we caught the action on the river on a board of {10-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}.

Levy fired out 1,100 and his opponent looked him up with {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} as Levy showed {A-Spades}{10-Spades}.

"He rivered me. I missed," sighed Levy as he slips back to 27,000.

Another Ding for Dong

Karamalikis: taking control
Karamalikis: taking control
Jonathan "xMONSTERxDONGx" Karamalikis has just moved up to 40,000 in chips after eliminating another opponent.

The money was all in the middle on a board of {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}; the opponent tabled pocket fives but Kamaralikis had him beat with {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} - set over set, another player to forget.

Aristidou Has Arisen!

Peter Aristidou has just moved up to 25,000 in chips after simultaneously eliminating "Carwash" George Cotaidis and Dani Stern.

Cotaidis and Stern got their short stacks into the middle before Aristidou and another opponent called to see a flop of {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

Aristidou fired out a bet and the opponent quickly mucked before the other three players revealed their cards:

Aristidou: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Stern: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Cotaidis: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The turn of the {q-Hearts} put Aristidou further ahead and the river came down with a useless {k-Hearts}, busting both Stern and Cotaidis.

The Rise and Rise of Vince Larosa

Vince Larosa has shot up to the top of our chip counts and eliminated Hendon Mobster Barny Boatman in the process.

The money was in the middle between Larosa and Boatman on a board that read {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}; Boatman had hit two pair with {a-?}{k-?} but Larosa tabled pocket kings for the turned set, sending Boatman out the door and his stack up to 33,000.

Moments later, Larosa doubled up through another opponent, flopping two pair with {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and was good against the opponent's {a-?}{5-?} to now be sitting on 70,000 in chips!

Seri Chips Up

Billy Seri has just eliminated an opponent as getting the chips in on a flop of {J-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}.

Seri tabled {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for trips to leave his opponent in trouble with his {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

The turn and river bricked out and Seri moves up to 24,000.

Assadourian Out

Eric Assadourian has been eliminated at the hands of Leo Yu. After a raise preflop, all the chips went in on the two-spade flop. Assadourian held {J-Spades}{9-Spades} but wasn't happy to see Yu flip {K-Spades}{7-Spades} for a bigger flush draw.

It got worse for Assadourian as a king hit the turn to leave him drawing dead. Yu is up to 19,000.

Tsapkounis KO'ed

2009 PokerNews Cup Australia champion Con Tsapkounis moved his last 4,000 in to the middle with {a-?}{k-?} but found himself flipping for his tournament life against and opponent's pocket jacks.

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}; "Tsapy" has been sacked and that, as they say, was that.

Crunching Numbers

You'll need all of these to get that.
