Sachinidis Doubles Up Twice

Jim Sachinidis just managed to double up twice in quick succession to move back up to 16,000 in chips.

A player under-the-gun raised to 850, Albert Amato called and the action folded around to the button who reraised to 3,600.

The small blind folded and Sachinidis moved all in from the big blind; UTG and Amato folded before the button called.

Sachinidis: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Button: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}{q-Hearts} to see Sachinidis doubled through. He then managed to double through another opponent a short time later.

Graham Makes Soul Read

Jarrad "FlopNutsOnYou" Graham might just be THAT good. We just caught him making a nice soul read on his opponent on a board of {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{K-Spades}.

Graham check called 2,000 on the turn before another 3,600 on the river, and showed down just {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for the best hand! Graham is up to 19,000.

Krautschneider KO'ed

Karl Krautschneider and Peter O'Dwyer got their money into the middle on a board that read {6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

Krautschneider tabled {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} for the overpair but we suspect that he would still be feeling sick after being eliminated by O'Dwyer's {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

O'Dwyer is now on 40,000 in chips.

Zmukic Zooms Up Counts

Vesko Zmukic raised to 900 preflop and the action folded around to the blinds who both called, to go three ways into a flop of {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, which they all checked.

On the turn of the {q-Diamonds}; the blinds checked to Zmukic who fired out 1,000. The small blind called, the big blind folded and it was heads up to the river {4-Diamonds}.

This time, the small bet led out for 2,500. Zmukic called and the opponent showed {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} but was beaten by Zmukic's full house with {q-?}{j-?}.

Zmukic is now up to 45,000.

Wonky Coolered

After a raise under the gun, and a re-raise from the small blind, Vincent "Wonky" Wan looked down at pocket kings in the big blind and popped it up once again.

The UTG player stepped aside but the player in the small blind moved all in with Wan making the call, only to find he'd run his kings into pocket aces.

Wan couldn't find a miracle king and was sent to the rail.

A Savage Straight

On a flop of {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} Paul Ravesi fired out 900 and received two callers including Ben Savage.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and action checked to Ravesi who bet 1,600. Savage made the call before the big blind check-raised all in for 7,000 more. Ravesi stepped aside but Savage made the call and flipped {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the nut straight with a flush draw, as the big blind showed pocket threes for a set.

The river was the {2-Clubs} and Savage collects the pot to jump up to 45,000 chips.

Jeffreys Doubles Up

Andrew 'Adgee' Jeffreys moved the last 6,150 into the middle holding {a-?}{q-?} and was ahead of his opponent's {a-?}{j-?}.

Jeffreys hit trips on board of {q-?}{q-?}{9-?}{2-?}{6-?} and doubled up to around 13,000 in chips.

Waggoner Eliminated

Marsha Waggoner has been eliminated from today's tournament. We didn't get the action but it was Waggoner's {A-?}{Q-?} up against an opponent's pocket queens, and when the board didn't produce an ace, Waggoner was sent to the rail.

Carter Sets It Up

On a flop of {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, Ciaran Carter checked and Peter Aristidou bet out 2,300. Carter then check-raised all in and Aristidou made the call.

Aristidou revealed {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} but Carter had flopped a set with his {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and river the {A-Spades} to double Carter to 18,500 and leave Aristidou on 14,000.
