Weisner Walks

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Melanie Weisner
Melanie Weisner

Full Tilt Poker Red Pro Melanie Weisner joked with her tablemates, "Can you give me some better tips for hitting on guys at the poker table?"

The following hand Weisner opened her button only to have the big blind three-bet to 8,100. Weisner made the call before moving all in on the {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop over her opponent's 10,000-chip continuation-bet. Her opponent made the call as Weisner's tournament life was on the line.

Weisner: {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{7-Spades}

With Weisner in the lead, the {5-Spades} on the turn saw Wesiner's opponent take the lead before the {K-Diamonds} landed on the river to send Wesiner to the rail.

Katchalov Katches

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Ronnie Shabtay opened the button only to have Eugene Katchalov three-bet jam all in for 26,500 more. Shabtay made the call as the cards were tabled.

Shabtay: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Katchalov: {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}

With Katchalov in a race for his tournament life, the {8-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} board would ensure he remained in the tournament with 60,000 as Shabtay slipped to 100,000 and change.

Ablett Ain't Kicking Goals Anymore

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Gary Ablett
Gary Ablett

Gary Ablett Jnr recently signed a AUD$10,000,000 deal to play Australian Rules Football for the new franchise called the Gold Coast Suns.

Although one of the greatest sportstars of the modern generation, Ablett should probably stick to the beloved game us Aussies believe is played in Heaven!

Opening to 3,500 from the cutoff, Ablett was then confronted with a 8,100-chip three-bet from Kristian Lunardi out of the small blind.

With the action on Ablett, he four-bet jammed for roughly his last 28,000. Lunardi made the call to put Ablett at risk.

Lunardi: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Ablett: {4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

With the rail pressing hard squinting at Ablett's holding, the {9-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop saw him needing plenty of help to remain alive.

The {K-Clubs} on the turn rendered him dead as the meaningless {2-Hearts} completed the board sending Lunardi up to 95,000 and Ablett around the table shaking hands with his opponents.

As Mizzi climbs to 320,000, Egan drops back down to 130,000.
