Joel Dodds has just taken a hit to his huge stack. The hand started when Martin Kozlov opened the pot, at which point Dodds looked towards the few players left behind him and after observing their relatively small stacks, decided to raise it up to 30,000.
One player behind Dodds made the all-in call and Kozlov got out of the way as Dodds turned over his . Before Dodds' opponent turned over his hand he jokingly said, "do i have him covered?"
Dodds' opponent held and when the board ran out , he took the hit to his stack and sent a double up to his opponent.
With around 7,000 in the pot and a board reading , Martin Drewe bet 3,800 from the big blind and received a call from the player in the hijack. When the appeared on the river, Drewe thought long and hard before slowing down with a check. His opponent followed suit and Drewe sheepishly turned over , which was no good against the hijack's .
Grant Levy was in great shape to eliminate an opponent when his dominated the of hie foe; however, the flop delivered salvation to the short stack, who was all in for 7,475. Levy had outs, but failed to catch on the turn and river. Levy sent over some chips, dropping his stack to 13,000.
We didn't catch the betting, but we do know that Amanda Decesare doubled when her held against the of her unknown opponent as the board ran out . While she doubled, Decesare is still in need of some help as she only has 17,000.
Earlier in the evening we documented a hand in which Peter Aristidou managed to pick up quads to move up the chip leaderboard. Well, the times have changed for Aristidou and he is now out of this tournament.
We aren't sure how Aristidou got down to 13,000 but that's where his tournament life was at before he got his stack all in holding against . No help came for Aristidou and that was all she wrote.
