We saw Vesko Zmukic rise from his seat and hurried to his table, arriving just in time to see his elimination hand. We're not sure of the action, but we do know that Zmukic had laid out in front of him but his opponent held on a board for a straight. Zmukic swung by our desk and informed us that he got it all in preflop only to get unlucky. He was also quick to add that he will be back in action tomorrow.
"Good game," Zmukic said before exiting the tournament area. Meanwhile, Leo Boxell has also been eliminated from the tournament.
Toby Lewis was under the gun and raised to 1,350, which was called by a player in early position. When action folded around to the short-stacked big blind, he moved all in for 8,900. Lewis hesitated for moment before moving all in over the top, forcing the EP limper out of the hand.
Showdown
Lewis:
Big Blind:
Lewis was in a dominating position, and even more so after the flop, All he had to do was dodge an eight or running cards, but it could not be done as the spiked on the turn. The river was no help and Lewis paid off his opponent, dropping to 25,000 in the process.
Jay "SEABEAST" Kinkade is no longer in the tournament, with his demise coming when he shoved the button holding after a player opened in early position. The original aggressor ended up calling and turned over , well in front of the of Kinkade.
The board ran out and it was all over for Kinkade.
We saw a big stack over at Table 25 but no one sitting in the seat. We've been told it belongs to James Dempsey. We're not quite sure how we missed him for so long, but it appeared the World Poker Tour 2011 Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic Champion is here. If you recall, Dempsey overcame a tough final table that included Antonio Esfandiari, Soi Nguyen, Vanessa Selbst, and Andrew Lichtenberger to win the $812,612 first-place prize.

We've noticed Australian personality and poker great Jeffrey Lisandro walking about the Crown Poker Room. While he isn't playing in today's event, it is a testament to the big names making their way to Melbourne. He joins the likes of Joe Hachem, Patrik Antonius, and Tony G as pros who're currently in the house and biding their time for their first tournament.
